Working with this dealership was a nightmare; every cliché about dishonest car salesmen and sleazy finance managers brought to life. I've purchased many new cars over the years and I have to say this was, by far, the worst experience I've ever had. On a brighter note, I do love the '11 Elantra I purchased, just wish I had gotten it from another dealership. More

Went to this dealership a little skeptical based on reviews that I read online but decided to give it a try anyway. When arriving Kevin seemed decently nice, although a little bit shady. Gave him all my information, and told me numerous times to come in and talk about rates and what car i was approved for. Every time i went in, it was another story, and reason why they didn't know whether i was approved or not, and finally told me i needed a proof of residence in order for them to tell me what i was approved for. Being i had just moved, i was waiting for new proof of residence to match my license. I called numerous times and spoke to some nasty salesmen that were frustrated because I kept calling and Kevin wasn't there almost every time. After about two weeks, i said forget it because it was just taking way too long. He called me about two weeks later asking me what the deal was and what i was doing I told him i had some personal issues and that i could no longer go along with the deal. He got extremely nasty and said "thanks for the call". Proceeded to be nasty, said some words and hung up on me. Overall: Dealership is very unprofessional, shady and I do not believe they are doing the right thing. More
Bought a Nissan because they are supposed to be "reliable" cars. Had a problem with the car, something that is not supposed to go wrong until well over 100,000 miles and my car did not have half th "reliable" cars. Car is not even three years old yet and is just out of warranty because it is over the miles. The repair is going to cost a lot and this is the third Nissan we have purchased from them. Originally when we called, they offered to take off some of the charges for the bill, but once they found out that I did not take my car to their service department whenever I got an oil change they refused to do anything to help. My family has a friend who is a mechanic so we try to support the local businessmen. We will also be supporting the local businessmen to get this problem fixed because I would rather give them the money and support than a huge dealership who will do nothing to help their customers. Riverhead Nissan is also very over priced and you can go to almost any other dealership to get a better price. My friend was looking at Nissan's and I suggested she go to Nissan 112 and she did and got a much lower price for her vehicle. More

Then came back and took our trade in to be evaluated by his used car manager.Sat around for another 15-20 minutes. The trade in price was laughable, but when I asked him for the price of the Sonata we test drove he said I'll be right back. Another 15 minutes goes by. When he returns, he quotes us the sticker price. I asked him is that the best you can do? He asked how much do I want to pay. I asked him for his best price becuase you have the exact car in stock and this could be a quick deal. Again he said let me speak to my manager and left us alone, but he asked while walking away have you gotten any quotes and I said yes 22K was one of our quotes from another dealer. He stated rudely no wonder you have not bought a car. I was shocked at the sarcasim.I walked into the sales managers office where Mike and the sales manager were sitting and told them I was leaving. Mike followed me to the door shouting good luck trying to find a car. So unprofessional, and the fact that the sales manager sat there and did nothing was unbelievable.I thought it odd that no customers were in the dealership. Now I know why. More

I did sent 2-3 registered letters to RiverHead Auto Mall, General Manager Frank Valentti, and to an owner of RiverHead Auto Mall, but there was no respond from both of them. RiverHead Auto Mall started to respond thru their lawyer only after I had written prove that my signature was forged. Even offers that I got from RiverHead Auto Mall attorneys were so insulting my intelligence. RiverHead Auto Mall attorneys’ did not deal with me in a good faith! More

We agreed on a car and price, they took my down payment. Then tried a bait and switch, and tried to charge me $1,790.00 for a $1,400 option. Their explanation was I had to pay for advertising fees. I just leased my second Nissan from this dealership. The salesperson, Will, was friendly and knowledgeable. He did not try to pressure my husband and I to make a snap decision but allowed us time to think o salesperson, Will, was friendly and knowledgeable. Mike was very helpful and great to work with. The dealership is amazing and I haven't had a better experience. From minute one Mike was attentive and focused on my needs and wants.
