On February 19, 2023, I posted a review about how River Oaks Chrysler had held my car since September 12, 2022, for warranty work… never doing any work and never even completing a file/claim with Chrylser/ Oaks Chrysler had held my car since September 12, 2022, for warranty work… never doing any work and never even completing a file/claim with Chrylser/Mopar so the work could be done. My car is still sitting (now with a dead battery), six months later, at River Oaks Chrysler. After my February 19th review, Betty Foots immediately called me and asked how I expected them to help me if I was giving them bad reviews. I told Ms. Foots that if River Oaks did help, my previous review could be modified or deleted to reflect such. I am not yet able to that. My car is still sitting, after six months (178 days), at River Oaks Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. On February 21, 2023, I met with Betty Foots about the situation. She promised that she would be taking it over and would get it done. In the meantime, she stated that she would have my mom’s car repaired so that I could drive that. (Mom’s car had gone in for a suspension job in September2022 and was given back to me sounding like the back end was about to fall off! Apparently, while in the care of Rive Oaks Chrysler, the sway bar and strut became broken.) Betty stated that during the time they worked on Mom’s car she would provide a rental. That she did do. However, Mom’s car was returned to me after 11 days still making noise when going over bumps and turning. And we are again back to emails going unanswered…I have had Mom’s car independently looked at. The left strut was replaced, but the leaking right strut was left. At this time, I am afraid to take Mom’s car back to River Oaks Chrysler to have this issue addressed. Although it, too, had a Lifetime Warranty which would cover this, I am paying out of pocket. However, semi -fixing my mom’s car (finally after 6 months!) and expecting me to drive it while the work on my car goes neglected is not an acceptable solution. It never was! After 178 DAYS…River Oaks Chrysler has still failed to complete the work on my car. When I spoke with Chrysler/Mopar today, March 8, 2023, River Oaks Chrysler had still not completed the necessary warrantee filings for repairs to even be started. I need have MY car back! My car was in for a warranty repair which I was told by Ed Kane would be covered. River Oaks Chrysler has made no good faith attempt at any repairs. Because of the failure to properly complete the repairs in a timely and proper manner, I am now catching rides to work. The school nurse brought me this a.m. I will UBER to my second job after work. Then, I will either UBER or catch a bus to get home tonight. Tomorrow, my assistant principal will be picking me up for school. Then, I will once again UBER to my second job and figure out how to get home from there. Next week, I will be paying for a rental for the week. However, as a teacher this is NOT something I can continuously afford. So, for the all the people who herald River Oaks Chrysler and Alan Helfman for supporting teachers and first responders… I am a teacher! And this is how I’ve been treated. This teacher is not feeling the support…Donating to charitable causes is admirable to many people… treating people honorably and doing business honorably on a daily business would be far more admirable and genuine. I have emailed a letter to Alan Helfman asking for River Oaks Chrysler to take full responsibility in getting my car fixed and asking to be reimbursed for my rentals and UBERS. I have received no reply. Furthermore, no action appears to have been taken against any of his employees who created this debacle by not doing their due diligence. I wonder if Georgia Provost and Miss Texas Latino and all those who participate in those “fun” commercials promoting River Oaks Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram really understand the type of organization that they are promoting. Personally, I would be ashamed to promote an organization who takes someone’s car for 6 months, does NOTHING for 6 months, and makes no attempt to make things right when the More
My friend has had her vehicle in this dealership's repair shop for 6 months for warranty work and can't get them to finish the repairs. They stopped answering the phone when she called. When she posted a bad shop for 6 months for warranty work and can't get them to finish the repairs. They stopped answering the phone when she called. When she posted a bad review online, they finally responded to her and invited her to come in to try to get the problem resolved. A couple of weeks ago, I went with my friend to meet with their "customer service" person. This woman made my friend all sorts of promises about what they would do to resolve the issues. They did not keep their promise, and she is still without a vehicle. She has been getting the run-around since September of 2022. I would never do business with this dealership. More
Shocked by the February review by C. Here we are on National Women’s Day and this dealership is holding her car hostage! I experienced this in 1989 when my car was in for repairs after Here we are on National Women’s Day and this dealership is holding her car hostage! I experienced this in 1989 when my car was in for repairs after it was stolen. They put seats for a 4 door car in my 2 door car and tried to make me accept it. Then put the wrong seats in and my head hit the ceiling. I was told I didn’t remember that it always hit the ceiling. I finally brought a burly male with me and a letter for Marvin Zindler. Amazing, I had it in a week. Why is this still happening at this dealership? Is this how they treat all their female customers? More
River Oaks has had my car since September for strut work that I was told was covered under my warranty. They then had to order parts and they were on back order ( I got that) December came ... holiday del that I was told was covered under my warranty. They then had to order parts and they were on back order ( I got that) December came ... holiday delay. January... said car was FINISHED but had they LOST THE KEY. They were just waiting for a key. February... they still have my car. Car was not started or moved due to lost key... battery was dead. Now say have not started work on it and state it is now going to cost 7500.00 and will most likely not be under warranty... BUT, they will be happy to make me a good deal on a new car. There is something very wrong! Calls have gone unanswered, voicemails to Ed repeatedly not replied to. In addition, my mom's car was in for a suspension job in September, They returned it to me with damaged struts and a damaged sway bar. They tried to tell me the sound I heard (as I started out of the dealership lot) was a rattle in the trunk from "the lollipops" that I had in the trunk with some other school and swim gear. I had been a long time customer. This was my 3rd car from this dealership and my parents had shopped here before. I am beyond disgusted with the cover ups and lack of truthful communications from this dealership and Alan H. I always knew Alan was a fast talker and a bit different (just view the commercials!). But I really never thought the Helfmans operated like this... This is my first time reading these reviews and I see I may not have been the only person deceived. River Oaks told me to take Mom's car home and they would finish mine. When they got mine finished they would repair the damage to Mom's. Neither car has yet been repaired. No loaner or rent car available. All at my cost. And now, with no cars fixed, they'd like to sell me a new car. It is truly unbelievable! More
I recently needed an unforeseen engine replacement in my Jeep Wrangler. The entire situation was stressful as I was just out of Powertrain warranty. I previously purchased an extended warranty and hoped tha Jeep Wrangler. The entire situation was stressful as I was just out of Powertrain warranty. I previously purchased an extended warranty and hoped that FCA would honor it. They did. However, had I not had the support and care from RO Service Department, in particular, Ms. Betty (Service Manager) and Ms. Monica (Service Advisor); I would be a complete MESS. These two ladies are professional, communicative, competent, and caring. The moment they had information about my Jeep (from the initial diagnosis to the scheduled FCA Inspector evaluation/visit, to the FCA approval to replace my engine and finally to when the Jeep was ready) they made sure to inform me immediately. I appreciate the effort they put forth when dealing with FCA. If I had any complaints, it would be with how slow FCA moved to approved the engine replacement. This had nothing to do with River Oaks' ability to fix my vehicle in a timely fashion. FCA needs to be quicker about their evaluation process regarding repairs under warranty; and not to disrupt the flow of dealership service departments and technicians. I appreciate the patience and thoroughness of Ms. Betty's team; and their persistence with contacting FCA to follow-up with the next steps! I'm extremely pleased and impressed with this dealership, and am eternally grateful to this very special group of individuals. The entire Service Team from management to the technicians need a raise and need to be featured on FCA's site as a model dealership; one that other dealers, nation-wide, should aspire to. They even washed my Jeep so that it was gleaming when I came to pick it up! I know this is typically a standard procedure at some dealers, but you wouldn’t think this dealership would have the time to do it (or even want to do it) after having to do a very labor intensive engine replacement repair! Replacing an engine is not like replacing an oil filter…there are many parts, lubricants, fluids, hoses, clamps, electronics that must be correctly placed and tested with the block to ensure that it runs correctly. I realize that this was not an easy task and managing every aspect of the repairs, along with paperwork for FCA had to be a nightmare! But this team handled it flawlessly and with precision. I will be recommending this dealer to any and all Mopar owners that need service. Grade: A+ , 100% More
I don’t normally write bad review or bad mouth about anyone but Sales manager at River Oaks dealer is very shady . I ordered my jeep for almost 2 months from River Oaks . Sales person told me that I wil anyone but Sales manager at River Oaks dealer is very shady . I ordered my jeep for almost 2 months from River Oaks . Sales person told me that I will get the best deal and they will beat out anyone’s deal and will get the best experience from River Oaks . About 2 days before my vehicle arrive another dealer called me and told me that they had 2 exact same vehicles I was looking for and will be in about a week or so and both are available and I need to get it before someone put deposit on those vehicles .I told them that vehicle I ordered will be arrive at River Oaks about 2 days so just let someone else buy and enjoy it , and just happened that I knew the sales manager at that store because I use to worked at that store so the manager at that store told me that the Jeep that I ordered was a hard to get and low on supply but he will sale it to me at most is MSRP or lower , they do not sell their vehicle over MRSP but I told him that since I already ordered the Jeep at River Oaks I want that sales person at River Oaks get the deal since he took my deposit and did the paper works and leg works .The day that my vehicle arrived sales person called me to come down and sign paper work . I was exited after 2 months the vehicle that I ordered for my wife had finally arrived but to my shocking and utterly surprised . The sales manager at River Oaks raised the price at $ 5000.00 over MSRP and he told me that this is a hot vehicle and due to supply and demand and if I don’t want to buy it someone else will since he now has vehicle on the lot and people who doesn’t want to wait for 2 months or longer will pay their asking price .I told him that I am also working in auto industry and know several sales managers that can get me a good deal why would I pay $5000 over MSRP . I also told him due to supply and demand and this Jeep is in high demand I am willing to pay him at MRSP and I told him that when I ordered it you did tell me that you will charge $5000 extra if I knew I would not have wasted my time and ordered from your store and than he told me he can do $ 3000. 00 over MSRP . I did not want to waste any breath or time talking to a slime ball so I walked out.His tactic of doing business was very unethical and bad business . I will never doing business at this store or will never recommend anyone else doing business at this store due to their greediness and shady . More
