We've been in A LOT lately I want to start the review with we LOVE Rivard. It has been a pleasure to work with Rivard in both sales and service. It does seem that the service department is VERY BUSY the last 2 months, which is good for business. I do also understand that the last 3 times we have been in our cars have been towed in because of service needs and that probably requires that we have to "wait in line". My concern is that we've noticed that the "next step" is no longer being taken. For example, I just picked up my car yesterday because of a oil sensor replacement and my husband neglected to ask for an oil change too. I am in need of an oil change, which is indicated not only by the sticker on the windshield but also the indicator on the dash system. Now, I am going to have to come back again for an oil change...I was just without my car for 5 days! You did provide a loaner, which we are grateful for. But time is valued and I will take the blame because we totally should have communicated the need for an oil change. But in previous visits it is asked too. We were in about 6 weeks ago for with my Yukon. I came in and said "I think I need a break job Brake indicators are heard and it's making a noise." I was told that I had brake fluid leaking into the master cylinder, it was replaced. I was specifiably told that my brake pads were good. I had to have my Yukon towed 2 weeks later because every indicator that could go off regarding my brake system went off on the way to work. Guess what, I needed brake pads! So I was again without my car and in having a brake job done on the car. The pads were so low that they were "sucking up" all of the brake fluid. When Dan called I told him I was concerned because this is not the norm for Rivard service that I have to come back for an issue I came in for. I was told that the young man who had worked on my car was new and is no longer with Rivard. Well, that's not exactly what you want to hear, as it makes me a little concerned with the work that was done. I asked that I be transferred to the service manager who I was transferred to and told the issue, He asked if he could put me on hold a minute and literally transferred me back to Dan! That is not good customer service. I wanted to gain confidence that all was well and the manger transferred me back to my service advisor, who wasn't the problem! To top it off, picked up my car and my son was following me out of the dealership as he had taken me to pick it up and informed my at the stop sign to pull out that i had a taillight out...ironic since a complete brake job was just completed and I'm sure the brakes were stepped on at one point. We just had work completed on our Yukon and Sierra and Carlos has been great. All of the advisors are easy to work with. We just bought a 2015 Jeep Wrangler from Jose. We purchased the car with the expectation that we would pick it up on the following Monday and some minor repair work was to be done on the tailgate. When we picked it up we were told that the repairs were not completed but we could schedule the repairs. We tried that week to no avail. My husband just tried to schedule it for this week when we were in last week with the Yukon and Sierra and was told that the repair man is usually in on Thursday (we also have a rear window control not working correctly, not just the tailgate repair). We have not received a return phone call regarding the repair appointment and when you call service they are absolutely slammed. We have been actively patronizing James Rivard since 2012 when we purchased the Yukon and subsequently the Sierra and now the jeep and I am growing concerned with Customer Service. Not the actual temperament of the service advisors or staff, but follow through and that attitude of the "next step" or "over and beyond" seem to be disappearing, at least in our last few visits.
