My car came in on a tow truck due to complete failure of the drive controls, leaving me stranded for several hours. It took several days to complete repairs, which we found out was likely caused by a software problem. And the software problem was part of a recall notice I had received before the last 5000 mile service visit. That recall had been ignored at that service visit, and that omission likely caused failure of controls for the engine and drive system. The good part is that I needed to rent a car while my vehicle was in the shop for several days. Toyota came thru and comped the rental costs. For this, I thank them very much. The service people and store manager were all very polite, professional and easy to work with. And seemed honestly sympathetic to my situation. More
