Beware of Bait and Switch! I give this dealer a 1 star only because it won't let me leve it blank. Initially I was extremely happy since this was painless until I discovered the switch and they don't want to answer a simple question of how they could deliver a car that wasn't the one we agreed to. Please read this if you are thinking of going to Right Honda I originally came to Right Honda in February of 2015 to purchase a new car. After speaking with a salesman (Gibby) and a visitor from corporate, I dec I originally came to Right Honda in February of 2015 to purchase a new car. After speaking with a salesman (Gibby) and a visitor from corporate, I decided to lease a new Accord instead of buy. I did this because I was told that no matter how many miles I put on the car or if I was in an accident, I would be guaranteed 50%-60% of the cars original value after 3 years ONLY if I came back to RIGHT HONDA and purchased or leased a new vehicle. I made sure this was very clear and every time I asked about this point both Gibby and the finance guy reiterated that mileage does not matter as long as I buy or trade with RIGHT HONDA. They also informed me that I could trade my leased car in for a new car at any point in my lease and pay $0 in penalties. I have a witness that heard exactly the same explanation and understood it exactly the same as I did. These are the sole 2 reasons why I chose to lease instead of buy. Now my lease was for $413/mo after putting around $2500 down, which is quite high for a lease but with the mileage being unlimited I was okay with that price considering I drive a lot. Fast forward to February 29, 2016. I came to Right Honda to get an oil change and decided to take a look at the new Civic LX while I was there. Gibby happened to be the representative available so he assisted me for a second time. After driving the car I expressed interest and we started talking finances... They informed me that because I put 22,000 miles on the Accord the value was substantially lower than what I have paid toward my lease ($7,500 to date). That makes since had it not been for what the originally told me about the lease last year. (Again they said over and over again that mileage does not matter as long as I buy or trade for a new car at RIGHT HONDA.) After I reminded Gibby what they had promised when they sold me on the lease, he came back with an offer to sell me the Civic LX at $433/mo for 84 months!!! That's $36,372!!!! The car was valued at just over $19,000 MSRP, which is higher than what it's actually worth! That's insulting! I told them I was fine to keep my lease considering I'm guaranteed at least 50% of my cars value after 2 more years and that's when Gibby brought in Edmund from Financial Services... Edmund told me that the guarantee of at least 50% of the cars original value is ONLY if I drive an average of 12,000 miles a year or less and if I wait 2 more years to trade in I will be throwing away thousands of dollars and I will still have to pay for the gap between what I've paid towards my lease and the cars actual value, which I was told would never happen so long as bought or leased a new car at RIGHT HONDA... Now that I had learned everything they told me about the lease was a lie (the other alternative was they were lying to me now to make more money, either way it's a terrible way to treat a customer) and believing that I HAD to trade in my lease with RIGHT HONDA, I was in a very uncomfortable position. Eventually they reduced the offer to 72 month term at $399/mo. That's $28,728... Also with that offer they told me that they would cover the gap for me with my lease, take that loss on the chin and I wouldn't have to worry about the almost $6,000 difference... So the question becomes, how does a car that is valued at $19,000 suddenly become worth $25,000 before interest on my purchase??? I thought I didn't have to pay for the gap??? In order to make me feel better they said they'd throw in a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty for me for free. Doesn't every new car come with a minimum 3 year/36,0000 mile warranty??? At this point I honestly felt disgusted. I truly believed that I had no choice but to make a deal and get out of my lease because either way I was going to have to come back to them eventually due to them telling me originally that I couldn't trade me lease with any dealership but RIGHT HONDA. I signed the paperwork, reluctantly, solely looking forward to the fact that I don't ever have to see these guys again. I can honestly say I've never felt so taken advantage of in my life. I made a huge mistake trusting Right Honda to accurately describe the deals I signed (especially the lease). They took advantage of my good nature and screwed me out of over $10,000!!! I have since learned that I could have taken my car to another Honda dealership since my lease was with Honda not RIGHT HONDA. I listened to everything they said in good faith that they were telling me the truth and obviously the weren't. Please be careful if you decide to shop at this dealership. Surprisingly a great experience. I hate car shopping and arriving at Right Honda and all the salesmen swarming at me like vultures just gave me a slight anxiety attack ??. From the get go he made us laugh and made us feel comfortable. Was interested in a CRV and Will knew everything there is to know about them. He listened to what I needed in a vehicle, he was upfront and honest. I've never been this comfortable leaving a dealership with a brand new car. Left feeling great about the price. Will Simpson is the guy to see!! More
