Buyer Beware!!! I'm not one to write negative reviews but this place makes you lose confidence in the Rick Hendrick franchise and the sales culture at this location. I'm not one to write negative reviews but this place makes you lose confidence in the Rick Hendrick franchise and the sales culture at this location. I had a very bad experience here but ended up finding a better Toyota dealership in Kennesaw,GA. I want to share some advice before you visit this dealership. Disclaimer, if you're looking to buy a new Toyota and are paying cash, this dealership may be fine. Just know all the rebates and discounts before you go. However, I was looking to trade my '16 Toyota in for a pre-owned Lexus. Here's some take aways: 1. A Lot of their used cars on their lot are bought from Auctions across the region and usually have some negative discounting event. (Usually listed on Carfax) 2. They have the lowest advertised price on most cars. This is where the "Buyer Beware" comment comes in. Even though the car should be discounted anyway, they have an excessively high dealer fee AND a marked-up dealer accessory package that they say is mandatory. These fees are not mandatory and you should negotiate them off your deal. 3. They will surprise you with a below market trade-in value if you have one. They say since they discount the car so much they make up for it on discounting your current car's trade in value. Funny right? Just make sure you check out KBB or Edmunds or any other reputable appraisal site. Importantly, you may decide not to waste your time trying to negotiate just find the same car that's priced a little higher at another dealership. You will NET a better deal after you factor in what I summarized above. 4. If you have great credit then you should get a great rate. If you have good or fair credit , you should get a good or fair rate. The last part of my disappointment with this dealership is the lack of character on behalf of my contact. A fellow by the name of Manish. He failed to do the right thing for me and honesty is not one of his work strengths. Very surprised that in 2017 with all the transparency, a culture like this still exists. They sell a lot of cars and I'm shocked how that's possible. After reading the positive reviews, most people seem pretty happy. Maybe it was just me but now at least you have some things to watch for. Last point on the car buying experience. Car salesman all the way up to GM are usually the hardest working people you'll meet. It's OK and acceptable to have mark-ups and profit to keep these hard working folks in business and provide for their families. However, this dealership has a major credibility issue and this character flawed culture is not indicative of some other car dealers in the area. More

Sleight of Hand Tactics Written On: 8/20/17 I've been shopping for a specific make/model for a while and found what seemed like a great deal at Rick Hendrick Toyota Scion San Written On: 8/20/17 I've been shopping for a specific make/model for a while and found what seemed like a great deal at Rick Hendrick Toyota Scion Sandy Springs. When I met the salesman I made it very clear that I already had financing through my credit union and it was just a matter of having the dealer send in a bill of sale to have them cut a check. After spending quite a bit of time test driving and having the salesman run the numbers, the out the door cost was significantly higher than the advertised price, with a large portion going towards dealer admin and package fees. Nevertheless, after enduring a game of back and forth with two different sales managers coming out to seal the deal, the paperwork was drawn up and I signed the purchase agreement at a fair price with a clause that allowed me to bring the car to my mechanic. After all of that, I was ushered upstairs to see the business manager who was going to give me my paperwork. I found this odd given that I had just signed several documents but I played nice and allowed the process to play out. After another wait (with my 10 year old) in the business office waiting room I was blind sided with a request to pull my credit to pay for the car under dealer financing or leave a large deposit which would allow me take the car off the lot as a loaner (sounded like a purchase to me), neither of which was disclosed up front by the salesman or the sales managers. To put things in perspective, another dealer allowed me to inspect their vehicle without any hassle just days before. Needless to say, I adamantly declined and walked out. NEVER will I attempt to do business with this dealer again. I realize that the used car sales industry has a reputation for using sleight of hand tactics and this experience has done nothing to refute that perception for me. Life is short and what a waste of precious time! ** UPDATE ** I received two separate calls from the finance manager and sales manager and both apologized and even offered to deliver the car to my home at my convenience. I let them know that I appreciated their calls and thanked them for calling but declined to do business with them after yesterday's experience. More

Only suggestion is that the "advantage" cost and admin fee should be part of the listed price, though separating it is a common practice with dealerships. More
