My husband and I have been looking into purchasing a second vehicle for the past couple months. We were considering a Chevy Silverado that was a couple years old with low mileage, and we found one that second vehicle for the past couple months. My husband was going through the process to test drive the truck for 24 hours when we ran into the worst customer service we've ever experienced. Mike Duvall told my husband it "didn't look like" he was going to be able to afford the truck and there was no point of going forward. This judgement was made without running his credit, and without any information about our financial background. When I confronted Mike about wrongfully passing judgements on someone based on their age or looks he informed me that he actually made the judgement based on his job. My husband is active duty in the United States Navy, so I think it's understandable why this upset me so much. To openly pass judgement based on the fact that someone is working hard and serving his country is deplorable. What makes the situation even more frustarting is the fact that our savings alone could have covered a big chunk of the price of truck. Aside from that we are 100% sure we were able to afford this vehicle & be approved for a loan because and we'd previously been approved for a loan worth much more than the cost of the truck. Unfortunately for Rick Hendrick Chevrolet, because of Mike Duvall's unprofessionalism, and disrespectful remarks, they will NEVER get a dime from us. More

[ 2 ] They recommend(-pressure you) expensive (HIGH PROFIT) EXTRA DEALER MAINTENANCE, that MANUFACTURER(General Motors) warns NOT to do. General Motors CURRENT OWNERS MANUALS warn that Fuel-system FLUSHES may damage fuel system.-- Owners manual, quotes to use top-tier fuel brands or use a fuel additive, ONLY. [ 3 ] ALSO, my car has very LOW MILEAGE. Hendrick recommended to service items way before manufacturer, GENERAL MOTORS. - ALL the CHEVROLET SERVICE DEPTS seem to practice UP-SELLING . This is the 2ND local CHEVY-SERVICE-DEPT that pressured NON-RECOMMENDED and PREMATURE maintenance. They have compromised their creditably+trust w/me. Non-savvy consumers are victims. When you need NON-warranty services, use a mechanic who cares for your well-being REFUSE non-manufacturer prescribed maintenance. You will NOT VOID your warranty. More
