Besides being an outgoing friendly person, Don's most important quality is that he listens to the customer's vehicle requirements without trying to sell you something that you don't want or need. Then, when he understands what you are looking for, he sets about to find it if it is not on the Rick Hendrick's lot. While such a search with another dealer could have been anxiety producing, working with Don and Howard made it extremely easy. Even though they had to search a long way to find my new Tahoe, Rick Hendrick Chevrolet made the whole car-buying experience totally pleasant and I left with just the vehicle I was seeking. I was greeted upon entry to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet by my salesperson, James Barnes. He treated me with much respect, in regard to the purchase of my new Traverse to the trade-in of my 9 1/2 year old Chevy T salesperson, James Barnes. He treated me with much respect, in regard to the purchase of my new Traverse to the trade-in of my 9 1/2 year old Chevy Trail Blazer ( in which James helped me to overcome my separation anxiety : ). James kept me well-informed of the status of my vehicle in regard to having leather and heated seats installed. He and all the staff were efficient and patient and went out of their way to accommodate me. I am still hoping to receive a complimentary 3rd row mat and cargo mat--so hopefully that will come through! Sandra Gotz assisted me the day I picked up the vehicle and handled the final paperwork and insurance details excellently. Don Smith provided me with a great orientation to the vehicle and patiently went through its many features with much patience given I am electronically/technically challenged : ). Great experience. This is our families 3rd vehicle from this dealership (back when it was Colonial). I was under a lot of stress about getting into a new car. ( I was trading in a 3 month old car I bought this dealership (back when it was Colonial). I was under a lot of stress about getting into a new car. ( I was trading in a 3 month old car I bought in April and did not like.) My salesperson, Sandra went the extra mile and actually drove a car to me at my lunch break so I could compare it to another car brand I was test driving (ford) That sealed the deal for me and I knew which car I wanted after that. So now I am happily back into a Suburban! I felt the staff also met my financial needs as well and were patient with me through the 2 week long process of me deciding what to do! More
Bought a new 2013 Silverado 4WD Z71. Great experience with no pressure or gimmicks. Steve Meade was excellent to work with and very personable. Worse experience EVER! Let me lay down some ground work. From 2010 to 2012 My mother and I have experience a lot of medical issues. my mother had 2 stints put in 2 knees replaced and cancer lobe of her lung From 2010 to 2012 My mother and I have experience a lot of medical issues. my mother had 2 stints put in 2 knees replaced and cancer lobe of her lung removed, I had my L4-l5 fused was coming down my stairs knee gave out and fell and broke my back 2 vertebra from were it was fused knowing my knee was gone ended up having to have it replace then right out of rehab walking along ended up breaking my ankle, so there is the start, needless to say we ended up losing our home we have shared for 10 years. So waited a year and decided since my van had 3oo,ooo miles on it would go down and see what I would need to do to get ready to purchase a used vehicle. Went to Rick Hendrick cheverlot after hearing thier commercials and knew with my credit I would probably not qualify for the financing they would have to provide. So sat there for 5 hours as they tried to help me each time the guy came out I kept saying I will take their offer home and look it over and my finances to see what I can do, only to hear no wait let us see what we can do. After 5 hours they came back with an offer that i was even a little concerned but would do what I could to make it happen, because ( i thought they were really out to help) dumb me did I mention it was 06/30/2013 end of month and as the dealer pointed out trying to make us number 1. Well fell in love with the vehicle and would have done just about anything to keep it. Only to get a call 07/03/2013 from Amanda saying there were some forms I needed to still fill out I asked what forms, I was told just some forms she forgot,asked again what forms? anyway told her I could come down on the 4th but have plans so lets just get it done. Only to find out they have researched it and I need more money and another cosigner, well that was not happening so I got to stand in the parking lot for an hour and a half to wait for a ride know how easy it is to get a ride on 07/04 not so easy. Now I have issues with my back and other knee standing there so long. oh sure someone offered a ride but why? so he too could try to talk me into something I knew from the beginning wasn't going to work. Well good thing I waited to calm down to write this huh. More
