I approached Mike Eckler several years ago to request that his business participate in a benefit concert series promotional campaign. He has been an advocate for our series ever since and has always been very kind and easy to approach. When I was in an accident in the fall of 2013, he was the first dealer I considered. He has a reputation for purchasing quality vehicles and partnering with honorable local mechanics. We are friends with several people who have purchased vehicles from him in the past and our friends have always been pleased with their experience. I purchased a 2012 Camry that I drive extensively for my job. It has been a pleasure to drive and I am very pleased with my purchase. The price and warranty are very reasonable. One of my road trips took me about an hour away from Richmond. When I parked, a dealer from that town noticed the Richmond Car and Truck Center badge. He made a point of approaching me to comment. To paraphrase: "You bought that car from Mike Eckler? He buys great cars!" More
Several months ago, my husband purchased a 2012 Toyota Camry from RCTC. I was so pleased with the experience, that I decided to replace my 2007 minivan with a 2010 Honda Accord. We typically own our cars Camry from RCTC. I was so pleased with the experience, that I decided to replace my 2007 minivan with a 2010 Honda Accord. We typically own our cars for a long time, so we made this decision carefully. We considered miles per gallon, financing options, warranty and dealer reputation. The Accord had just over 64,000 miles on it and the warranty was very appropriate for the age and mileage. We were presented the warranty in detail and informed why my warranty differs from my husband's whose vehicle is newer and has less miles. It took some time, but Mike was careful and thorough with us as we considered our purchase. I appreciate that they have contacted both of us since we purchased our vehicles. We both drive extensively for our jobs and we drive my Accord on our family road trips. I am very pleased with the vehicle and with the respect that Mike and his employees afforded us. More

Richmond Car and Truck Center is a welcome oasis of pleasant relief in the normally dicey (to be courteous) business of auto sales. This dealership only sells very clean, like-new looking used cars, so if you want a rusted clunker with 150k, this is not the place for you. The sales people were incredibly friendly, helpful, and low-key. It seemed that they were comfortable with the idea that their vehicles would sell if the customer liked them- no upselling or pressure or gimmicks. We bought a one year old Mazda 5 for an incredible deal- we couldn't believe the low price they offered, and currently-nearly three years later-the car has performed superbly. We will certainly return to Richmond Car and Truck center for our next vehicle purchase. Best place to buy a car in Richmond. More

I purchased a 2006 Saab 97x from Richmond Auto and Truck Sales. 7/20/2013. I also purchased a premium warranty for $1800 offered by the dealership. Not even 4months after purchase the engine blew up and the warranty would only cover $4000 of the $6500 it will cost for the new engine. I would have never purchased the vehicle if i had been told from the beginning the warranty would only cover a minimal amount. The salesman Brad Perry only showed me a pretty little pamphlet with basic information and told me that was all I needed to know about the warranty. My father and I went to the dealership with a positive additude to speak to the owner Mike Eckler hoping he would he help resolve the situation in some manner. Rather than being nice, Mike Eckler got defensive, was rude and tried to school my father and I about the chances you take when buying a used car. Mike Eckler offered no help, resolution, or compensation for this situation. We were hoping the owner would stand behind his product and his business and make a wrong situation right. In turn we could have been return customers with great things to say about this dealship and Mike Eckler. This is a great exaple of how not to do business. Its unfortunate there was not a positive outcome and this is why I given the ratings above. Buyer beware of this dealership. More
