Unprofessional Service Dept. Although the SALES people are extremely helpful, That is NOT the case for the Service Dept..I leased a brand new Chevy Cruze in July. It was dark when Although the SALES people are extremely helpful, That is NOT the case for the Service Dept..I leased a brand new Chevy Cruze in July. It was dark when I left the dealer. The next morning I opened the door and there was the Hood Release handle hanging down. I immediately called and went in. It took over 2 weeks and me calling multiple times before they even made my appt. I was asked that day IF I Broke it!!!? They said they would need the car for hours so they were giving me a Loaner car....NO they did not, I WAS driven to work, and supposedly fixed by lunchtime that day... Should be Good right!?? NO ! I NEVER touched the hood release ever as of yet....But almost 3 weeks ago now, I came out of work opened the door and There was the SAME hood release hanging again!!! Brought the car back again to the Service dept. Harry flat out accused me of pulling on the Hood Release, and although that is what you would do to open it in an Emergency I told him I had Absolutely DID NOT touch it...He said "WELL someone DID!!!! I am the only person that ever drives the car I tried to explain. He insisted I was wrong and broke me down to tears...Then in his next breath he said well IF you used the emergency brake you did it with your foot..ok isn't that what you do to put on the emergency brake, it should not BREAK another part of your car! Lastly, he said "This is the First year they designed the Hood Release where it is located and the door could actually be hitting it when you shut it...And if that's the case "We Have Trouble!!! Shouldn't someone know how to fix this instead of ignoring me? Well I was told on a Saturday I would be called that week probably Tuesday....It's 2 weeks later and I heard NOTHING! Still have a broken hood release in a Brand new car no call that the part ever came in!!!! Aside from the Sales Dept that is great, I WISH I NEVER leased here simply because of the Service dept. issues I am having! More

I get a phone call saying your truck has been damaged and at this moment it was nothing but attitude from the service provider. She was pressuring me that the truck needed to be sent as soon as possible to our auto body and I said not until I see the damage myself. When I arrived to the dealership to see the damage, I was greeted hostility by the service manager Harry. He kept calling me a nit picky truck owner and I had no trust in anyone. I just spent 42k on my first new vehicle purchase in my life and I was extremely proud to be an owner of my Silverado. At the end of the day, the truck was fixed however had to be brought back to be fully repaired correctly... When I walked into the service department, the manager Harry, would not even speak to me. If anyone reads this review, please do not take your new vehicle or purchase a new vehicle at this dealership. If management is rude and arrogant to customers so will their employees as the case here. I hope the upper management at this dealership reads this review to take corrective action with how this situation was handled. More

On two separate occasions I was considering a used Chevy Tahoe from external dealerships and Kristie and the techs were very gracious with their time and attention to detail in looking over the vehicles for me (without "nickel and diming" me). They were able to advise me out of a bad deal, and possible headaches in the future. The staff is very friendly, and Kristie provided great customer service. I would definitely recommend Lucas Chevrolet. More
The Service Dept. Has GREATLY Improved! After having multiple horrendous experiences with their service department back in 2003, I swore I'd never go back to Lucas. When the time came to buy After having multiple horrendous experiences with their service department back in 2003, I swore I'd never go back to Lucas. When the time came to buy my Cobalt in 2005, I refused to go there simply because I never wanted to have to step foot in their service department. I went 45 minutes out of my way to buy it. Anyhooo, no longer able to ignore the recalls on my car, and not wanting to drive 45 minutes away, I sucked it up and brought it in to Lucas last week. My engine light was also on (I knew why thanks to a check from AutoZone) and my hood needed fixing. Let me tell you, a lot has changed in 13 years, and for the better! Dave, the service manager, greeted me when I got there and set me up with Damien. I can't say enough good things about Damien! He pulled up my appointment and saw I was there for recalls and I let him know about the other issues. He was funny and personable, and he listened patiently. He came back with the tech's diagnosis regarding my engine light, and it was the same reason I had been told by AutoZone. I was shocked, in a good way, there was no BS! (I was still kinda skeptical at this point.) Damien explained exactly what a throttle body is and what it does and never made me feel stupid or like I wouldn't understand because I'm a girl. He also suggested cleaning it first instead of replacing it to see if it solved the engine light problem. He was trying to save me money? I was starting to become less skeptical. My skepticism ended when he let me know I only needed a new hood latch and not a latch and cable, therefore saving me $420! My experience on 12/10 with Damien COMPLETELY changed my opinion of Richard Lucas' service department, which is no easy task. This is so NOT the department of the early 2000's and I can't imagine the need to defend myself in a screaming match with any of their members. I'd feel 100% confident and comfortable bringing my car there and I'm looking forward to leasing a new vehicle from them in the near future! More
Just Horrible Absolute worse service department I've had to deal with. To your face, they are fine for the most part. The actual work, failure. Our SUV had a ban Absolute worse service department I've had to deal with. To your face, they are fine for the most part. The actual work, failure. Our SUV had a banging noise, sounded like somewhere in the front end suspension. Asked them to look into it, charged all kinds of money, said the noise was gone. Next day, noise is still there. Had the oil changed, figure it's a dealership, how can they screw that up? A dealership typically does a multi point inspection of the vehicle during an oil change. Car was using up oil like crazy afterwards. A couple of weeks later, take it back to them, they say the air filter was never changed and that caused oil to get sucked up, leading to a major costly repair. They didn't want to help cover any of the repair costs and simply stated sometimes the guys miss a few things. Then the piston holding up the hood stopped working. Wouldn't hold up the hood no more. Had them replace it. Not 1 month after that, busted again. We had a tire go flat. I put the spare on and cranked up the cable holding the spare. The tire place my wife used said they couldn't get the cable back down to put the spare back up. Took it to the dealership a couple of days later to look at while one of the other repairs was happening. They wanted to charge me over $300 to change out the whole cranking system and gave me some BS excuse why they couldn't do it otherwise. I told them not to do it. Looked at it myself. Took me 5 seconds to get it back down, no tools needed. When making an appointment with them for one of the repairs, I stated I would drop of the car the night before. Left the key in drop off slot. Figure I would hear something back from them. Called a couple of days later for status on the car. They hadn't even looked at it. Had no idea why it was there. Nothing in the system about the car coming in. They had my info from previous visits but never called to check why the car was there in the first place. Just let it sit in the lot. DONE WITH THEM.
