I feel it appropriate to write a short subsequent review in light of what's occurred over the last week. After posting my initial review, I was contacted by General Manager Jason Vianese, who I had previously not dealt with. Jason was very apologetic about my experience and made no excuses for what had occurred. He assured me that this is not how Richard Chevrolet conducts its business but acknowledged that they failed to meet their standards in this particular case. I appreciated the honesty and the responsibility taken by Jason on behalf of the dealership. He further explained that owner, Mr. Richard Jaffe, was out of State when I sent him the email and didn't respond because he was under the impression that the issues were resolved. I appreciated knowing that I was not ignored, but rather, some miscommunication had occurred. Mr. Jaffe has since contacted me via phone and we had a very nice discussion during which he extended his sincerest apologies. As a good-faith gesture, Richard Chevrolet has reimbursed me for the cost of the starter as well as the installation. To me, this shows how vested they were in making sure that my experience with their dealership became a pleasant one. I do believe that my initial experience with Richard Chevrolet was an exception rather than a rule. In closing, I extend a personal "thank you" to Jason Vianese and Mr. Jaffe for acknowledging my frustration and correcting the problem. This truly speaks to their character both as individuals and as a business and I have a restored faith in Richard Chevrolet.

We apologize that Gary had such a difficult time with the issues he had with the Suburban. From Payless making a mistake with the glass, to the lack of response from us. We strive to respond to our customers and make sure they are completely satisifed. In this case we did not achieve that standard. As Gary mentioned the correct glass was installed and cover was received. We spoke regarding the starter and will be reimbursing Gary as a goodwill gesture. We also apologized that Mr. Jaffe did not call but he was out of state. He was aware of the issue and thought it had been resolved. We appreciate Gary's business and bringing this to our attention. We understand the customer's frustration on receiving a low appraisal number from another dealer. We attempted several times to contact the customer to arrange our own appraisal of his vehicle. The mileage and condition since he purchased the vehicle were not disclosed. If both of these items are normal for the amount of time that has elapsed since he purchased the vehicle in May of 2012, we would agree that the appraised amount is low. Unfortunately, we were never given an opportunity to appraise the vehicle. As the customer mentioned, we did provide a car history report when he originally purchased the vehicle. We fully disclosed the accident, and the price reflected the vehicle's history, being sold below market value. At Richard Chevrolet, customer satisfaction is our number one priority and regret the customer was unhappy with his purchase. If the customer contacts us, we would be happy to aprraise his vehicle for him.
