After a five months I sent an email that either they sell the trailer or I'm going to come pick it up. The owners wife emails back and states they have a deposit and are working on financing. A month goes by and I email again. This time they stated they are still finalizing and check back after Christmas. On 1/10/2012 a local news station airs a story about Rice RV sold this guys trailer and kept the money. That day I went to Rice RV and spoke to Dan Rice the owner and he confessed that they had sold my trailer back in October and he comingled the money in his general fund and used it to fund his business. Now he has no money and has no idea when he can pay. SCAM...SCAM...SCAM ..... More
I located the trailer of interest on RV Trader and contacted the dealership. The salesperson, Jon Paul, and Finance Manager, Dale, were very cooperative. My home in Minnesota made consideration of this trailer to be questionable. However, by traveling 2,000 miles, paying for expensive fuel, staying in motel accomodations, and meeting with Jeremy Rice to complete the transaction, I found the trailer did meet my expectations. I returned to Minnesota without any mechanical problems and found the trailer to be just what I wanted. I am pleased with every aspect of the transaction and commend the Rice RV for their outstanding performance. More
We purchased our very first RV at Rice RV. We bought a used 2009 Open Range fifth wheel. Upon entering the RV lot we were greeted warmly by John Paul. A very nice young man who was very patient with us showing us multiple units and even going back to look at a couple units more than once. After the decision was made to purchase, John Paul & Dan negotiated a deal for us and even stayed past closing to accommodate our schedule for signing paperwork. Upon picking up the rig, John Paul went over all the items inside the rig while Dan covered the outside items with my husband. Since this was our very first RV ever, we needed a lot of instruction and everyone was very patient with us. After hooking the rig up to the RV, we discovered that the lights were not working, so Dan spent over an hour trouble shooting this with my husband until they found a blown fuse on the truck and then they replaced it for us. We thought we were good to go but then the truck was refusing to acknowledge that the trailer was connected. After another hour of trying to figure it out we all gave up and decided to have the Ford dealer technician look at it the next morning. Since it was a Sunday there were no technicians working at either the truck dealer or RV dealer. However, Dan did suggest a very nice place for us to stay in town since we were 8 hours from our home. Next morning after 3 hours at the Ford dealer, they proclaimed that their technician could find nothing wrong, so we went back to Rice RV and magically their technician not only found the problem ( a loose wire connection), he fixed it - all in less that 15 mins! And they never charged us anything even though the problem was with my truck not the RV. I have only great things to say about Rice RV and their employees! More
