I had a NIGHTMARE experience dealing with Reydel Volkswagen, and I highly suggest that people AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. Reydel's lack of competence and integrity run from its service depa Volkswagen, and I highly suggest that people AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. Reydel's lack of competence and integrity run from its service department all the way to its owner, Jim Reydel. Reydel Volkswagen simply does not care about its customers. My brand new car was damaged in New Jersey, and it was towed to Reydel. I instructed Reydel's service department not to work on my car until I called them back and authorized the work. They disregarded my request and worked on the car without my permission. Reydel's workmanship was so poor, that the car was returned to me in worse condition than when I left it with Reydel. When the car was returned to me, it was scratched and badly damaged. My car had no fuel in it and nearly every single warning light was lit up. Reydel's service department did not even bother to check these issues before returning the car to me. I immediately had to have my car towed to a legitimate Volkswagen dealership where my car remained for several weeks while this legitimate dealership was trying to identity and repair the damage exacerbated by Reydel. I called Reydel to discuss the issue, and the service department lied to me about the work its personnel performed on the car. For instance, Reydel told me that they wiped out my fuel tank with a rag, which I later learned was impossible given that the fuel tank is an enclosed unit. When I spoke to Jim Reydel (who is the owner of the dealership) and explained the problem I had with his service department, he scoffed at me and began shouting at me. He later backed off and changed his tone. He informed me that, due to my trouble, Reydel would pay to have my car detailed. That is all he offered to do. However, he never even sent the check he promised, and ignored my efforts to follow up on the whereabouts of the check. I highly recommend that people avoid Reydel Volkswagen at all costs. More
Great car, nice service. I also like the location of the dealership - nice and close right near by and easy to find. They were very knowledgeable. dealership - nice and close right near by and easy to find. They were very knowledgeable. More
The service offered is absolute disaster at every step. At the end, these guys even broke my light and wanted me to pay for it. If you can, you should absolutely avoid this place and support some other honest shop. More
I bought a new VW Cabrio in 2000. Figured I'd give the service dept a chance before looking elsewhere. I can't say enough positive things about the entire department. Friendly, courtious, worked with me service dept a chance before looking elsewhere. I can't say enough positive things about the entire department. Friendly, courtious, worked with me on scheduling appointments, etc. I was always greated by name and issues and options were always fully explained and questions answered in terms that I understood. I thougth all dealer service centers were like this until i sold my cabrio and bought a new car (not a vw) and was in for a culture shock at the way i was treated at other service centers and wishing Ken and team could take care of me again. I was referred to Reydel VW by a friend of my fathers who has been a satisfied customer for years. This being my first car and my Dad being in the car business and hearing the car horror stories for years, I has been a satisfied customer for years. This being my first car and my Dad being in the car business and hearing the car horror stories for years, I expected the typical “car dealer” treatment, wow was I wrong. We had an opportunity to speak with the General Manager and the Sales Manager on separate occasions and I could not believe that they were both on the same page on the car I wanted (2008 VW Rabbit 2dr 5sp) and the price. After conducting hours of research and many calls to Reydel I decided to buy the car. I submitted my credit application on line and with a little help from my Dad got approved and we set the delivery. I set up the insurance and had my first contact with my sales person now this is where it gets interesting, I expected the sales person to short and hurried due to the fact that I got a great price and his pay on the deal was going to be minimal wrong again. David was knowledgeable, polite, attentive, efficient, and productive and best of all he is a VW enthusiast. We arrived for delivery and were greeted as we got out of our car, David greeted me by name first before my Dad that does not happen often. We were escorted to see the car and a full review then the document review and financing, by this time I was so well cared for I was confident the money stuff was going to go well, I was wrong again. David was also the person that handled the paperwork and did an Outstanding Job (exceeded my expatiations) reviewing every item on the paperwork and the products and services that were available to me. This could not have been a better purchase experience, it has set the benchmark for my future purchases. Team Reydel has earned my business and I will actively refer friends and family. We gestured but we were ignored while service employees chatted and drank coffee. We wrote our request and deposited it with keys; 3 minutes later, a Reydel rep. called us. When we asked how much a 50M mile service would cost we were quoted near $500; we requested the recall service only. When we picked up the car later in the day, no one said hello, no one paid any attedntion to us (when we made the appt., we told them we were looking for a new VW "home"). We picked up the keys and asked to speak to the service mgr. When we complained about the reception we received he said he was sorry we felt that way and dismissed us. Several months later we leased a new VW at Shrewsbury Motors. We asked Shrewsbury how much the same service would have cost and were given a price less than $300. I will tell this story to anyone who will listen. More

Today was my first visit to Reydel, and I was skeptical that they and/or VW would honor my CPO warranty for service. Imagine my happy surprise when my cost for both door lock assemblies AND the brake light that they and/or VW would honor my CPO warranty for service. Imagine my happy surprise when my cost for both door lock assemblies AND the brake light switch was.......ZERO!!!! Aslan went the extra mile to make sure that my car was covered and I am SO impressed with Reydel's service that we are strongly considering a new VW for my wife (we also own a Lexus and a BMW, so the bar is pretty high). My faith is restored in new car dealerships.. More
