Bad experience Would not let us take car home until they had title in hand which our bank we use for financing (Navy Federal Credit Union) holds. This would have ta Would not let us take car home until they had title in hand which our bank we use for financing (Navy Federal Credit Union) holds. This would have taken 2 weeks. If I financed thru Toyota I could have taken care home that day. So I guess we were punished for using our own bank. Went to another Toyota dealership next day and took home 2 new Toyota’s. Big loss for them. More

I'm a self employed electrical contractor who kept receiving recall notices on my car and not being to keep an appointment because I live 80 miles away in Squires Mo. I was told that I had to have this done because it was dangerous to drive it in this condition. I've been driving this car for years before I was given this. had asked, are you going to tow the car; you said no, that I had to bring it in, so much for customer safety. I couldn't afford to take a day off to have you correct a flaw that you made in the manufacture of your automobile. I then asked, do you have a loner car; you said you only rented cars. I then told you to not call or harass me again about this matter because you had taken up enough of my time already. You called two days later and said your manager had O.K.d the loaner. I then rearranged my work for that day. I dropped off my car at your service center where Charles McCantire who signed me in and then arranged to have the person in the loner service drop off the car. It was a Prius. I then moved all of my test equipment to the Prius and was told that I had to sign some papers. We rode to her office; she required my drivers license and proof of insurance which I gave her. She said that I had to have collision. I told her that putting collision on a 2003 car was insane. She then told me that I couldn't have the loner. Now I'm fed up. I had an appointment in an hour and a half in Bolivar that I couldn't miss.I told her that I had to have my car back right away. Now I'm fuming with anger because of the imcompetence your dealership has for your customers. You notice I didn't say consumer, because a consumer is like a pig; you toss any slop at it and it eats it. A customer has a choice, He decides weather or not to buy or not to buy your product, depending on what is offered. I decided, at that point, never to do business with your company again and to let people that I do business with know of my experience. When I went to pick up my car, Charles had asked me what had happened. I told him the story, and he offered to let me take his personal car. I was floored; I couldn't believe what I was hearing and never expected it from anyone that worked for your company. I had asked him why would do this, he said that it was the right thing to do. I took him up on his offer and said that I would fill his car when I brought it back. I made my appointment and brought his car back only to have his transmission fail at you entry way of the dealership. Charles had taken command of a seemingly hopeless situation and totally turned it around In an instant and diffused any and all anger that I had. He did this instinctively. I felt like I was dealing with the owner of your company and felt more confident. I felt like a customer and professionally taken care of. Charles should be running your company to set a paradigm of how to treat and find solutions to dilemmas that must present themselves daily in your business. Always remember the customer is not there for you; your there for the customer. More
