I don’t usually write reviews, but I’ve been sitting on this for over a year, and it’s time to share my experience. While traveling for business, my 2006 Toyota Sienna suddenly wouldn’t shift into gear. I had it towed to Reliable Toyota, hoping for a straightforward and fair repair. The issue turned out to be a small broken bushing that connects the gear shift cable — a part that typically costs under $10. I rented a vehicle from the dealership while repairs were underway, which was helpful. After the first day, I was told the part wasn’t in stock and had to be ordered from Kansas City. I even offered to drive there to pick it up, but after checking with the mechanic, I was informed they could use an aftermarket version instead. In the end, the job took two days and cost me over $900. I’ve since learned that this is commonly a 30–60 minute repair involving a low-cost part. I understand dealership pricing and overhead, but this felt excessive — especially for a traveler just needing basic help to get back on the road. This isn’t written out of anger, just disappointment. Experiences like this are why people hesitate to trust dealerships. I hope this helps others make informed decisions. More
