Service department is alway vary friendly. The facility is always clean and love just pulling in the building for service. All aspects of our experiences with Gene Stevens Honda and our salesman, Eddie Ortiz has been excellent. Experience was okay, not spectacular. The high point of the night was the salesman offering me coffee, as the night was blustery. Had to do the usual haggling, and was glad to have brought a man along, as the night was the salesman offering me coffee, as the night was blustery. Had to do the usual haggling, and was glad to have brought a man along, as I felt at a distinct disadvantage, despite doing a lot of research prior to the sale, and taking in an offer from another dealer. Of course they low-balled me on the trade, but that's where the male companion came in...he got the remote start installed at no additional charge. I was prepared to walk otherwise. Salesman was polite and not condescending. A huge issue of contention was the Graduate program. Despite them advertising 1.9% for 60 months to well qualified buyers for both standard AND for the Graduate program, they managed to not give me the deferred 1st payment (90-day, the only advantage of the grad program), and then proceeded to tell me they would have to run the financing at 5-6% to get the deferral. I called two other dealerships to verify the deferral was possible at 1.9%, and they said "yes." Of course, this dealership said they must be plotting to get me in their doors. They stuck to their story, and I lost the deferral. The finance guy kept changing his story and contradicting himself in all contact after the sale, when I tried to get to the bottom of the issue. Apparently, there are TWO Graduate programs, one at 1.9% and the other at 5-6%? It doesn't add up. Also, their loaner cars leave much to be desired. After purchasing a new car (and getting the aforementioned remote starter installed), I got a loaner that was 13 years old, had damp seats, no gas, and a check engine light on. Not quite a good reflection on them. Their service department was immaculate, and the people there seemed very professional. Overall, I feel I would have gotten the same or better treatment anywhere else. Like I said earlier, not a spectacular experience. I feel that once I signed on the dotted line, they were done with me. I just rate them "average." More
