Quick and Easy Purchase. I just bought a new Subaru BRZ from Reeves. I had done all my research on the car. I had gotten an offer from Carmax to purchase my trade in. I use I just bought a new Subaru BRZ from Reeves. I had done all my research on the car. I had gotten an offer from Carmax to purchase my trade in. I used Truecar and got a price offer from Reeves as well as a couple of other Subaru dealers. I called Reeves to verify they had the car I wanted and spoke with the sales manager. I told him if he honored the Truecar certificate price and gave what Carmax had offered on my trade, I would buy the BRZ. He ran some numbers and agreed. To my surprise when I went to the dealership, everything went just like we talked on the phone. No hidden prices. They already had the car detailed and ready to go. I was in and out of the dealership with my new BRZ in about 45 minutes. Thanks Reeves. More
I went here to have the oil changed and have the vehicle inspected since I had just purchased it from another dealer. It took them over 25 minutes to even speak to me, everyone just walked passed me and whe inspected since I had just purchased it from another dealer. It took them over 25 minutes to even speak to me, everyone just walked passed me and when I asked for help the told me to wait. Finally, I was able to speak to a person, and they took my car back for an oil change. Two hours later, they come to me and tell me that my car needs new brake pads, only on the front and were going to charge me $250 for just the pads. Then they said that my car was due in 5000 miles for the 60000 mile service. They were going to charge me $950 for it, but would give me a "discount" and charge me $850. I said no, and the service manager went away. Another hour later, he says its ready and for me to come pay. In total it took them over 3 hours to do an oil change. I ended up going to Mastro Subaru near by and paid $750 for the 60000 mile service, I got help fast, and I was out the door in the same amount of time (60000 service takes about 3-4 hours.) More
I never write reviews, but what I just experienced has prompted me to make an exception. I have a Subaru that I bought brand new, it's just a few years old now, and through my own mishap, dislodged a smal prompted me to make an exception. I have a Subaru that I bought brand new, it's just a few years old now, and through my own mishap, dislodged a small plastic clip on the underside of the car. It's responsible for holding up the splash guard section that goes from under the front bumper to over the driver side tire. While driving the piece was flapping around and making a noise that I could not recognize (several years experience working on cars myself). Got out to look and couldn't see any damage of any sort, so I didn't somehow hit something while driving. Reeves Subaru was closest to me at the time so I called in to schedule an appointment. Told them what I was experiencing and asked for it to be looked at. I figured it was nothing I couldn't fix myself, but as the car is still under warranty, and they have all the parts, tools, and a lift to make things easier, I decided to go there. Mastro Subaru is definitely my preferred location in Tampa and here is why. I got to Reeves at the time I said over the phone 2 hours before, and then they told me they couldn't see me. So much for making an appointment! I was told all the slots are full and there are no available technicians. Again, I could have been told that over the phone as I called in ahead of time! Not to mention, where I pulled my car around to was the bay with not only several empty lifts, but a couple of their technicians just standing around. I waited for someone to finally get to me and all they did was start pulling on my bumper and looked underneath and told me what was wrong and that the piece had cracked and would eventually just fall off and get torn up by my tire. I was sent to parts to order a new part, which I was told they had in stock, but couldn't get to my previously scheduled appointment because they were "busy". Then, another Reeves employee came up and handed me a bundle of black plastic zip-ties and told me to fix it myself. Really?! That's their customer service?! They don't know I could have done that in the first place. I still waited and finally the Parts guy came up and gave me the price of the part. Crazy expensive! $75 for plastic! Then $120 more for the 1 hour of labor. I called up Mastro, as I'm more familiar with their service and spoke to Manny in their parts division. Not only could he get me the part for $40, but I would have only been charged another $45 in labor cost because they said it only takes 1/2 hour, not 1 hour like Reeves had previously told me. I decided to go with Mastro Subaru to take car of it. Not only was I greeted quickly and politely, but that's when it turned out all I need was a clip. There was no crack which I was lead to believe there was, and would have been charged fully for no reason I'm sure! Mastro quickly had the issue was resolved and I was only my way free of charge. DON'T go to Reeves! Poor service, poor attitude, they tried to scam me, and wanted to charge more than double what Mastro would have charged, had there really been a part needed replacing. More
