Inconsistent service communication and lack of loaner vehicles made the overall experience not the best. Although the team worked to address my service needs, there is room and opportunity to be more frequent with updates, especially when parts and recall items may be involved. It would also be good to give clear and concise information about scope of work, timelines, etc. and if those things shift or change, communicate this to the customer, promptly. More

The local mechanic found grease on my cv axel and that it would need repair. I made and appointment and took it to red Mccombs Hyundai. Gustavo at check in was asking about my issues and then I showed him the paper from the mechanic. He said, “this means nothing to me, we will do our own inspection.” I was like ok, but look into this because there is probable cause. I also said there was something wrong with the latch in the backseat. He also noticed I was due for an oil change. I asked the price and then declined saying I would go somewhere else. He then proceeded to tell me that oil changes not done at Hyundai would be considered outside influence and void the warranty. I asked where this was in my paperwork or manual stating that I agreed to those terms and conditions. He told me to google it. Either way, I declined the oil change. When he called telling me my car was ready, he said nothing was wrong with the cv axel or the latch. I was like with the cv axel can you put that in writing on the paperwork so that Hyundai is holding the liability. Since I had paperwork from a previous mechanic saying something was wrong. He refused. He also said nothing was wrong with the latch. I picked up the car and drove it IMMEDIATELY to Principle Hyundai in Boerne. They were able to diagnose that there was grease on my cv axel and the boot needed to be tightened. They also said the backseat latch wasn’t working properly and needed to be lubricated. So thanks Gustavo and Red Mccombs Hyundai for not fixing my WARRANTABLE issues with my vehicle and terrible customer service. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More
