The one star reduction in the rating is because of something I realize is temporary. It was quite difficult to actually get my car to the service area. The entry "gate" from the IH 10 access road was not yet open for my 8:30 appointment when I drove up. Coming in, then, from UTSA Blvd, I followed the signs to the service department which did not help. A construction worker tried to help but I finally got out of my car and asked someone working in one of the bays for help. By then, there was also another woman with her vehicle following me to find out where we should both go for service. The service bay employee was very helpful - after showing us where to park, he walked us directly to the service department. More

Despite the on-going construction, our recall was handled professionally. Jon kept us apprised each time something new was happening, and explained all issues well. His calm manner was very helpful. I took my Sonata Hybrid in for diagnostics that would intermittently cause the car to shut down and require the 12 volt reset. The Service Advisors were very courteous and great at explaining issues when intermittently cause the car to shut down and require the 12 volt reset. The Service Advisors were very courteous and great at explaining issues when I would show up on site, however, I had to show up several times to get an update. They were always too busy to speak with me over the phone. Also, the backlog for the diagnostics was almost 8 weeks. I had to leave my car on site for 8 weeks as their insurance would not allow me to sign up for diagnostics, then bring the car in when they were ready for it. I could have used a rental, but would only be reimbursed for it if they determined that the issue was under warranty. In all, the personnel are courteous and helpful, but either understaffed or unable to provide the service needed for the product. Unfortunately, other dealerships are also suffering from this malady as well. More
