Again, another terrible experience with this dealership's service department. I do not know if error codes do not go away on normal cars, but on my hybrid, if you do not check the error light right away, it service department. I do not know if error codes do not go away on normal cars, but on my hybrid, if you do not check the error light right away, it will go away in a day or so. Such is the case again with my car, as I received a "Hybrid System, Turn off Engine" error message, with no acceleration, while driving my car. I had it towed, and told the people in the Service department to get the error code right away. Over two weeks later, no light, no diagnosis, but they are willing to charge you the diagnostic fee for not finding anything. They can see the past error codes, but no dates and no work on diagnosing what those error codes mean. You should have a manual that tells you what to do with these error codes. Needless to say, I am a little gun shy right now if I want to take my car on a long trip. More
We made an appt for the safety recall and an oil change and dealer refused to do safety recall and wanted me to schedule for another future date and leave the car for 10-15 days with no loaner car. I called Principal Hyundai in Boerne and was able to get an appt and they said I can sit and wait for 1.5 Hr max while they do it. Red McCombs Hyundai is not even close to being in the same league as far as customer service compared to Principal Hyundai. More
