Not only did ya'll not service the vehicle before it was delivered (we had to take it to another dealer to get the AC fixed) The manager, Sal, was very rude to my wife. Normally a good dealership, but this time communication with the service department was nonexistent. I personally had to reach out multiple time per day to get any information on my vehicle. This experie with the service department was nonexistent. I personally had to reach out multiple time per day to get any information on my vehicle. In April of 2023 Genesis issued a recall for seat belt pre-tensioners that could explode during collisions. I went to Red McCombs Hyundai Northwest on 23 June 2023 to ask about scheduling the recall appo pre-tensioners that could explode during collisions. I went to Red McCombs Hyundai Northwest on 23 June 2023 to ask about scheduling the recall appointment. Mr. Gilbert Pena informed me that I would have to drop off my vehicle for approximately 5 weeks, without a loaner! About 6 months ago, I tried to deal with a similar recall of my daughter's Hyundai Venue. At that time, they stated that the car would need to be dropped off. In approximately 1 week they would evaluate the car to see if it was subject to the recall. They would then order the part and proceed with the repairs. I had to clarify because I did not believe what I was hearing. Can I make an appointment to have the car evaluated for the recall? They answered no. I promptly called Red McCombs Hyundai (410). We were allowed to make an appointment for recall evaluation. After an hour appointment we were told that our vehicle did meet recall criteria. They ordered the parts and we made a second appointment for the repair. Please note that the 410 location is less than 15 minutes away from the I-10 location. My issue is that the 410 location does not service the Hyundai Genesis line. So I will need to do a search for nearby dealerships which can complete this recall without me being without a vehicle for 5 weeks! It's the dumbest business model I have ever heard of. In Mr. Pena's defense, it's not his policy. I thought "Is this your way of not doing the recalls. Make the process so inconvenient that people go somewhere else..." I bought my vehicle two years ago then moved here from out of state. If I knew that I would be dealing with this service department, I can't say I would have bought the Genesis. More

Terrible communication on status of vehicle. My original service agent apparently “left the company” when I called back in a few days for an update and no one could tell me what’s going on with My original service agent apparently “left the company” when I called back in a few days for an update and no one could tell me what’s going on with my vehicle until I get assigned a new service agent. Took a month to get an appointment for some recalls and told that I could not wait there for service as it would take a couple of days. No loaner cars offered so I had to carpool to work. Days go by and no call back. Finally call me after 5 days saying my vehicle is ready with no apologies or acknowledgment of the many voicemails I left inquiring about the status. If they had only responded earlier to reset expectations I could have planned for it. Ended up having to borrow a car from a friend. More
