After weeks of scrolling through car apps and dealership websites, my daughter and I ventured out for a day of checking out affordable used cars and taking test drives. After wading through high mileage clunkers and being ignored by salespeople who heard, "a budget car" and literally walk away, we headed back to the south side. I knew if anyone would have nice, clean and mechanically sound cars on their lot, it would be Ray Skillman! But I had no idea what a truly special experience we were about to have. Immediately, we were greeted by a smiling, charismatic young man named Stas...and when we said we needed a used first car on a budget, he was eager to help. After we looked through the buy here, pay here car and SUV selection (which was fantastic compared to other big name lots), Stas showed my daughter a brand new, 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage. I was immediately doubtful and told my daughter not to get her hopes up. Stas gave me a price comparison between the new and used cars then made us a deal. He was extremely optimistic that he could put my daughter in the new car, but he had her choose a used car she loved, as well as which style and color Mitsubishi Mirage she loved. He then said he would work to make sure she got one or the other. He kept his promise!! Not only did my daughter get a beautiful, brand new car, in her color choice, but our payments were more than manageable!In addition to the car, Stas made sure my daughter was set up with the best warranty, tire and wheel coverage, dent repair and 24 hour roadside assistance...everything a PARENT wants when they send their child out on the road. The credit and paperwork process was smooth, quick and painless. Stas was so friendly and engaging and the rest of the sales people and finance people were cheering along with us, congratulating my daughter and making her first car buying experience a dream come true. It's no wonder Ray Skillman has built such an empire with so many friendly, caring and amazing people working with him. We will never buy a car anywhere else! Thank you all, so very much!
