Great Purchase Experience This was my second car purchase experience at Ray Skillman, Duane Reed sold me a car several years back and was great to do business with, so when a This was my second car purchase experience at Ray Skillman, Duane Reed sold me a car several years back and was great to do business with, so when a new purchase was necessary after a vehicle accident I gave him a call. Duane has since moved into the finance department, but he introduced me to Andrew Slinkard who worked with me to find a great replacement vehicle. He was a top-notch salesman friendly, knowledgeable and eager to help, without being obtrusive. I also worked briefly with Joe Dollar, Andrew's manager (I believe) who I hope was just having an "off" night, as he was a bit condescending in his approach. In fact, when I requested to have a vehicle brought over from another location to test drive, (which Duane had done for me in the past), Joe said they couldn't just bring vehicles over so people could drive them and then not make a purchase. However, Andrew intervened smoothed over Joe's general dismissive attitude, picked up the car for me and as it turned out that was the exact car I purchased. Andrew truly made the test-drive/ car selection experience a pleasure. Duane worked me in finance and did an excellent job explaining the different options, helping me through the loan process, and pointing me toward the warranty/ insurance products that best fit my needs. I would definitely steer prospective car buyers toward Andrew and Duane they both demonstrate an excellent balance of professionalism and friendliness in their interactions. More

Dustin Townsend (Finance) was also helpful and did not push anything extra on me that I didn't want. When he couldn't answer my questions about pricing listed on the internet, he brought someone in that could - Josh Carlson. Josh was helpful in explaining the price difference from what you see on the Skillman web site and the actual price of the vehicle. He was eager to please and make things more reasonable. My only suggestion would be to redo the way pricing is listed on their web site - you think you can get a car for the "internet price" but you really can't unless you make the deal a certain way (which really isn't explained on the site.) great experience and the car is working out well i contacted tommy in the afternoon, let him know what car i wanted and my circumstances, and he started the process asap. we were able to get a lot of i contacted tommy in the afternoon, let him know what car i wanted and my circumstances, and he started the process asap. we were able to get a lot of things handled by phone and email before i got to the dealership, at which point everything went great. my son and i are both very happy about the car switch. my only complaint has nothing to do with tommy or other staff - they all did great - but it would be nice if the process could be faster or there could be a bit more explanation about why it takes so long. because it took hours even after we got things rolling by ohone beforehand. i understand this is just how buying a car goes, and again the staff, especially tommy and the finance guy, were all great. and it would be nice if it had been a little speedier 🙂 More
