Had a great experience at the dealership. Friendly service from everyone, including the General Sales Manager Michael Laks. I did get more for my trade then I did expect and the pricing that was givi service from everyone, including the General Sales Manager Michael Laks. I did get more for my trade then I did expect and the pricing that was giving to me thru email was accurate. Every other dealership in the area did not give accurate pricing on line. It was like a bait and switch. Ray Laks was the only one that gave accurate pricing. Joe Grimaldi is the Internet Sales Manager and he was friendly and responded quickly. He is very helpful and answered all of my questions before I came in. Mark Maloney showed me the car and did the paperwork. Great experience and will definatly be a customer for life! More
Poor salesmen! I went in there and the guy I was dealing with Chris Kane and was noticeably chewing gum, had a "cocky" attitude right from the time we met, and was rude. I was looking at several other cars with Chris Kane and was noticeably chewing gum, had a "cocky" attitude right from the time we met, and was rude. I was looking at several other cars and test drove other cars too and not 1 salesman came with me with the test drive, he on the other hand did. I was uncomfortable and it felt like I was on my road test all over again and didn't get the full expirence if I went alone. He didn't ask if that was ok if he went and normally I've been asked if I wanted to go alone or if I wanted them to come along. We got back, talked numbers, numbers were not where I wanted them to be he told me "If I go back in there and ask him again he will probably tell me to tell you don't let the door hit your xxx on the way out" I couldn't believe he said that to a customer! I was amazed, no deal was made that day and as of that he or the company didn't gain a customer that day nor will they ever again, and I will never send anyone to that place! Needless to say I went and leased with Kia at West Herr and this was my 2nd time with the West Herr family and couldn't be happier. More
You cannot trust them, went into dealership with a pre approved auto loan from credit union, credit union was going to take bi-weekly deductions from checking account, which is great, car gets paid off so approved auto loan from credit union, credit union was going to take bi-weekly deductions from checking account, which is great, car gets paid off sooner. Ray Laks finance department says they can get me a loan almost 1/2 a percent lower and they can arrange for bi-weekly deductions, what they didn't tell me was that there was a $399 application fee to the third part company that would be taking the deductions from my checking account than holding the money till my payment was due. Why would anyone want to pay almost $400 for someone to write checks for them. They never mentioned the fee and never gave me a copy of the contract. It should also be noted that when they quoted me the final cost of the car and after I agreed to buy it, they suddenly discover they made a mistake and added the tax wrong, car was another $1500 dollars, thought it was an honest mistake, after the incident with the car's financing I think it's just part of the dealerships less than ethical way of doing business. As a young woman, I tend to find going to an auto dealership a slightly intimidating experience based on past visits to various dealerships. Recently, I went to Ray Laks Honda in West Seneca and was dealership a slightly intimidating experience based on past visits to various dealerships. Recently, I went to Ray Laks Honda in West Seneca and was pleased to find a place where buying a car didn't feel like an opportunity for me to get swindled or to be snickered at because of my lack of car knowledge. Everyone was smiling. I was immediately taken care of and at the end of an hour, I knew that I would be buying a car from them. I never felt rushed or pressured into buying something I didn't need and I knew that I was purchasing a car that was going to work well for me. I bought a new Honda Accord and from the first time I began this process until I drove my car off the lot, I have been delighted with this dealership. I certainly plan on returning there and would highly recommend both my sales person, Steve Goldstein and the general manager, Mike Laks. More
This review is for service only. I have been a Ray Laks customer for years now & am mostly satisfied overall. I should note that I am a Honda fanatic & I feel that I am more knowledgeable than most when it customer for years now & am mostly satisfied overall. I should note that I am a Honda fanatic & I feel that I am more knowledgeable than most when it comes to servicing them. I do most of my own work but when it gets too cold or I'm too lazy I go to Ray Laks. I find them to be reasonably priced (depending on what the job is) & I have made my case for discounts where I feel there should be. Zach was my favorite Service Advisor for a long time & still is but is now Service Manager & is less likely to cut me a deal. The others don't even try & are sometimes rather unknowledgeable about Hondas (not that I expect them to know it all). I've had some minor issues that have been resolved to my satisfaction & they do seem that they want to make you a happy customer. Their loaner cars are great & they even let me keep one when they needed more time with my car, which was very nice. I have heard that they are significantly better for service than other local dealers all 2 of them (prior to West Herr joining the mix & their reputation is generally excellent but I have not been to any of the others, just what I hear). I have not heard many positive things on the sales side however & I did begin the sales process for an '09 Fit with these guys that they just stopped by themselves (kinda weird). I'm almost scared to buy here because I don't want to have a bad experience & not want to go back for Service. I certainly wouldn't buy used from Ray Laks because their inventory is consistently not of high quality (I've seen flat tires on used vehicles as well as poor quality replacement tires on others that really offends me because most people aren't discerning enough to know that but I digress...) For service I give them the thumbs-up, for new I'll probably give them a chance to earn my business but for used I'd go elsewhere. More
After a significant amount of time spent on test drives, surfing manufacturer's webpages, and reading magazine reviews, my wife and I decided on a Honda Fit Sport for our next family car. We tested our fir surfing manufacturer's webpages, and reading magazine reviews, my wife and I decided on a Honda Fit Sport for our next family car. We tested our first Fit at Ray Laks Honda. During the test drive I asked the sales associate if they were dealing at MSRP on the Fit model - he said "yes". After going through the legwork of checking other dealerships (some were charging a premium, others were not...none had a Fit Sport in stock in a color of our choosing), we came back to Ray Laks a few days later to settle on a Black Fit Sport that had just rolled off the truck. After checking the car over, we proceeded to the showroom to talk money. Magically, a premium of $895 was added to the price of the car! When I told the sales associate that I had verbal confirmation of dealing at MSRP, she checked with the sales manager. She returned with a sales worksheet (along with an intransigent attitude...) that supposedly showed how my family and I had sat down with the sales associate a few days earlier and I was very clearly notified of the "environmental package" thereby justifying the added cost. I then explained to her that she had the wrong person by pointing out the customer's name at the top of the sheet (close in spelling to my name, but not mine...) and asked for them to honor the MSRP as discussed. I offered to purchase the car at that time for MSRP, however the sales manager wasn't moving from his premium. Sadly, I didn't expect these showroom antics from a Honda retailer. We were ready to make the jump from German (VW & BMW) to Honda, but this experience has left a sour taste for the brand. I don't think you'll see us in a Honda dealership in the future... More
Based on the other reviews, they have apparently gotten their act together. They are the BEST Honda dealer I have ever been to. The fix it right the first time @ a decent price. Had a pricing issue once & their act together. They are the BEST Honda dealer I have ever been to. The fix it right the first time @ a decent price. Had a pricing issue once & they resolved to my satisfaction. Highly recommended & especially recommend Zach in service!! More
They do not trust their customers here at all. You better make sure you can demonstrate your problem or they won't even look at your car. I have had something lose roling back and forth in the driver's door make sure you can demonstrate your problem or they won't even look at your car. I have had something lose roling back and forth in the driver's door for three years now because the mechanics claim they cannot hear it. Of course, nobody bothered opening the door panel and looking inside.

If you have an extended warranty, make sure you check with Honda directly whether a part is or is not covered - the dealership will not tell you.

Today, I had another bad experience. My calliper broke and I needed it fixed. But it is covered by the warranty and the work has to be done by a dealer. Therefore, my favorite repair shop could not do the work. I made an appointment a week ago. Today I dropped the car off. When nobody called by 3 PM, I called them. They did not even touch it! And they told me I did not have an appointment scheduled. I will be lucky if they look at it tomorrow. If I did not call, they would probably call me in a week or so. I spoke to a manager and his manager, with no resolution.

If you can, go somewhere else. More
