I brought my car in to have the key fixed. Jay Nix the service manager dealt with me personally. In 5 minutes, the key was fixed and I was on my way. Jay Nix is fantastic. This is the best MB dealer for service in NJ. I visited a lot of MB places and they couldn't fix even small issues on my 08 c300. MB of Freehold is the only one I trust because they know what they doing and lot of MB places and they couldn't fix even small issues on my 08 c300. My husband saw a CLK350 online. We went to the dealership. Sal was our sales associate. Sal had difficulty finding the car as it was not ready to be shown. It still needed to be cleaned up. He wan dealership. Sal was our sales associate. Sal had difficulty finding the car as it was not ready to be shown. It still needed to be cleaned up. He wanted us to wait til they did the cleanup but we said we understood and wanted to test drive it. Sal was polite and very knowledgeable about the car. When I noted some marks on the rear bumper, he said that it was a used car. So he was not in anyway trying to make me feel that we were buying a car that they had tried to make look like new. Also a dealership should not put a car online that is not ready to be shown. When Sal told us the price, he was 0.5K over the internet price and my husband had to point this out to him. We wanted to trade our Lexus in. My husband did research to see what his Lexus should be worth. Sal offered a number which was significantly lower. He brought in another man who he said was the sales manager. This man offered my husband what my husband thought the trade-in should. We all shook hands with a good faith deal since we wanted to return the next day to see the car cleaned up and leave a deposit. The next morning Sal called and I spoke to him. He said that they could not give us the money they committed to for the Lexus. He was courteous and said he did not want us to make the trip to find this out. In my opinion, they should have either not made an offer on the Lexus until they completed their research or they should have honored the amount or negotiated a lower price for the CLK. While the day of visit to the dealership was very positive, the fact that they reneged on our handshake agreement in less than 24 hours made MB of Freehold a business that is hard to recommend to a friend. More
