Found some serious truck bed corrosion after the sale. I bought a 2010 Mazda B-4000 pickup truck from Randy Cavender on December 11, 2018. The vehicle was in very good overall condition with a little corrosion inside bottom of the door frames, which was expected since the vehicle had been used in Canada. I could not see the front of the truck bed, because there was a cover on it. In June, I removed the cover to put it on another vehicle, and I discovered that the front of the bed was rusted through (I have photos). This was not visible when I bought the truck. I called up Randy and informed him of the problem. He expressed ignorance of it, but he offered no resolution. I am having the truck bed replaced and repainted to match the cab, to the tune of about $2000. If I had been in Randy's position, I would have at least offered to share the repair bill. Randy offered me nothing but sympathy. More

With two weeks until she needs to go back to college, we were in “urgent” mode to find a reliable car on a seriously fixed budget. We looked online and in person at numerous dealerships, large and small, within a 75 mile radius of where we live in Asheboro, NC. Drove several cars, but never found the right fit. After we left, he noticed a different and potentially more serious problem with the car and apologized that it was not up to his normal standards. So he made us an incredible deal on a much newer and nicer vehicle. We could not believe it. Randy Cavender is the most honest and caring man selling quality used vehicles we have ever met. We did not just purchase a car from him, we made a friend and bought peace of mind knowing that our daughter now has a vehicle that will take care of her for years to come.
