I could not recommend this dealership to anyone. First off, the vehicle that we were interested in (high mileage truck) could not be financed and it was leaking oil and should not have been on the lot in off, the vehicle that we were interested in (high mileage truck) could not be financed and it was leaking oil and should not have been on the lot in the first place. It also had smoke coming from the engine when my husband opened the hood. Second, we were passed off to another salesman who could not get financing for the price that we stated we needed another (new) vehicle for. The salesman and another salesman stood around talking to each other and that was a bit uncomfortable. They have something about being able to get financing for everyone or guaranteed financing on their doors, but they came back with numbers higher than we are already paying. This was not a good experience for us. Another thing is that they have inadequate parking at the dealership and its super crowded. More
I was a return customer (2012) who had a Base Model 2103 Ford Escape, that I traded in to the Ecoboost 2013 Ford Escape 10./2/13. Not even 2 weeks after the purchase, that moon roof console broke. I was tol Ford Escape, that I traded in to the Ecoboost 2013 Ford Escape 10./2/13. Not even 2 weeks after the purchase, that moon roof console broke. I was told to bring it back the next Friday for it to be fixed. I brought it in at 8am to service and dropped ot off. They said a few hours, it will be fixed. After calls from us (that weren't being returned) we finally got a call at 4:39 that afternoon, and stated my truck would not be ready until the next Tuesday. Eventually they got the part in but on THUSRDAY! 2 days past the original date. I called corporate after the first incident to see if I could get anywhere. When I got my truck the next day after returning the most disgusting rental I have ever been in, ever! My truck was out in the heat and none of the dash buttons worked at all. Nothing worked not even volume. That's when As I was drving the truck more I noticed that the transmission slips between 1-2 and 3-4, which is a MAJOR Problem for me. Also there is smoke coming from somewhere that seeps into my truck, even with AC starting at 60-65mp, everyday! I have a 8.5 month old daughter and we felt we were being repsonsible by buying a new vehicle, but with the smoke and her developing lungs it is unacceptabke!!!! Also, affer specifiicaly asking for NO GREASY figers to touch my almost white interior, there were prints from the passenger side all the way to the sunroff conpartment. We were wating to hear a call from Wendy Pinson to discuss the fact that we want this truck taken back, bought back, or traded for the same vihcle. I am not loooking to make any gain from this situation, I just want to be made whole! I got my truck back today after it being at the shop since 10/18/`13, the interior was cleaned up. They fixed the moonroof compartment and the right rear fender. No sooner as I got to 65 on the HWY it was still smoking. I went back to the delaership and spoke with the sales guy NOE who sold us the truck and told him he had another truck on the lot that was the same as model and all I wanted was to made whole. I told him that he knew 2-5 days after us buying the truck we were unhappy and he did nothing with that information when I feel like if he had I would already be in a different truck. Here I am paying $761 for a truck that keeps going into the shop, and nothing besides cosmetic stuff has been fixed, I couldn't duplicate the smoke with Todd the Shop Super, so they just let me take the truck. I got no paperwork stating what has been done and mt CC. I understand that if this truck is bought back you, you can't re-sell it, and the same applies this gets to the point I have to file a Texas Lemon Law Suit. All I'm asking is for the same truck, just not this one. I don't feel safe in it for me or my family and I don' t think it's fair this Randall Reed Planet Ford on Hwy 59 is acting this way to a repeat customer. I'm taking it back on Monday and I do not want the same truck back. I don't believe a NEW truck should need to be fixed and I do not want this truck anymore based upon: 1) due to it being a new truck having work done on it should not occur and has never happened with any new vehivcle I have bought. 2) the smoke that comes into the cabin when I'm on the Highway is a true issue and concern for me and my daughter 3) the transmission should not be slipping, and I do not feel safe. If someone with some type of Authorization and Title to take my truck back and put me in the same or equalvehicle could call me and get ne out if this horrible truck, that would be greatly appreciated. At this point I'm ready to call the bank and just give the truck back to Ford because the issues are major ones. Today I returned a call to Wendy Eisehower at Ford Corprate who said them GM did not want me back at their dealership.......VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND ETTIQUETTE! I had one employee Giovionni who rode with me and smelled the smell and they completely dismiss what he said, and now state that he thought he smelled it!!!! More
We shopped the Humble store during a "Red Tag" sale. Truck came equipped with all the trinkets, it was a platinum with a lift kit. Price was $57, 000. Once we got paperwork signed(wife signed) I n sale. Truck came equipped with all the trinkets, it was a platinum with a lift kit. Price was $57, 000. Once we got paperwork signed(wife signed) I noticed the extra $14, 000. I went to them and they say too bad you already signed. I showed them sticker, paperwork, red tag sale price, etc. they told me I could have made that at home. I'm attempting to file a suit against them but that takes time and money. The GM Chuck Kramer just swept it under the rug and says "we did nothing wrong so go ahead and sue us". They lie, sneak, and worst of all they advertise that 100% customer satisfaction. Who buys an F-150 for $75, 000???? No one in the world would. More
I was very unhappy with our purchase. At first we got the run around about how much we would be approved for and they told us to take the truck we wanted but only to be told that we were not approved for it run around about how much we would be approved for and they told us to take the truck we wanted but only to be told that we were not approved for it and would have to pick out another vehicle. We did and they tacked on 2k to the sale price and called it a acquisition fee lol and i verified with the bank and there was no such thing. THEN on top of that they charged 199 for "Consumer benefit package" for a oil change, wipers and flush and said its standard on all cars whether you want it or not AND 399 for etching and insurance in case the vehicle gets stolen! I ALREADY PAY FOR VEHICLE INSURANCE. These guys are a rip off and I will NEVER recommend this dealership. More
I went in to the 45 store after emailing back and forth with David Mena for a week. When I walked into the office, someone was there purchasing the vehicle I was there for. I was very disappointed, but E with David Mena for a week. When I walked into the office, someone was there purchasing the vehicle I was there for. I was very disappointed, but Eli tried to find something else for me, I just wasn't interested. So I drove to the 59 store to look at their trucks, and Michael Peoples actually remembered my name from an inquiry. Roel drove me around the site to see if there were any other vehicles I would be interested in, but again, I wasn't. Yes, I was extremely picky because I didn't want to settle for anything less than I had imagined. Both locations were very friendly. Not once did anyone act overbearing, rude or sarcastic. I read so many of these reviews, and so many are negative, but I did not experience ANY of that! Of course, we never got to the negotiation part so I can't speak to it, and I had my pre-approval from an outside party so I didn't expect that to be an issue anyway. If they have something you are interested in, go check them out...just don't wait a week like I did. 20 minutes sooner and the truck would have been mine. (Unfortunately for them, and fortunately for me, I bought brand new at another dealership 5 miles from my house) Last thing, I am a female that was searching for a '12 F-250 Lariat 4x4...MANY male salesmen become arrogant and obnoxious when dealing with women buyers (and this is my 3rd truck), however I never felt that with any of these guys. These guys seemed to go out of their way to conform to every negative used car salesman stereotype. I never write business reviews bad or good but this was absolutely the worst car shopping experience of every negative used car salesman stereotype. I never write business reviews bad or good but this was absolutely the worst car shopping experience of my life. I cannot caution strongly enough against ever doing business with them because you will most certainly regret it if you do. More
Got me a new Chevy Spark yesterday, went to Planet Ford and was walking around for 30 minutes and nobody even said hi to me let alone helped me to try and buy a car. I then went to the one on 45 and was go and was walking around for 30 minutes and nobody even said hi to me let alone helped me to try and buy a car. I then went to the one on 45 and was going to buy a Fiesta but the finance manager handling my transaction had and attitude about him that made me feel like he was superior to me and I was nothing and the salesman wasnt very helpful until I said I was leaving. Thats when attitudes were changing. I already had financing but nobody wanted to give me any customer service, they just wanted my money. Thats when I went to Munday Chevy and actually got excellent customer service and wasnt treated like xxxx. Im sorry but I will never buy from Planet ford and will never recommend them to anyone. They talk about them wanting to help the customer as much as possible and the customer is #1 but I never had that experience. More
I did not buy a vehicle here, but I can tell you it would be the second to last place I would look for another Ford (Kinsel Ford-Beaumont being the very last). in my opinion, Planet Ford ("PF") is not the pl be the second to last place I would look for another Ford (Kinsel Ford-Beaumont being the very last). in my opinion, Planet Ford ("PF") is not the place you go if you are an educated person looking to make an educated decision. On day 1, I arrived in person and asked for someone REALLY knows something about the Ford super duties. Instead of leading me to such a person and perhaps working the deal jointly, the salesperson (Harold) represented that he was just such a person. However, he did not have a clue regarding facts that a person who actually knows about a vehicle would know. For example, he had no idea how much the disel emissions fluid ("DEF") costs, how far the truck can generally travel on a tank of DEF, etc.--nor did he offer to go find someone who did. However, Harold was a very nice salesperson and permitted me to inspect and drive an F-250 and an F-350. He was also very understanding with my intent to just use the experience as information-gathering. On day 2 of my experience, I traded a couple of phone calls with Harold, and I told him I would get pre-approval for a loan, line up insurance, etc. and call him back Monday. On Day 4 (Monday), I called the dealership three times, leaving messages for Harold. No response. On Day 5, I leave one more message. No response. On day 6 (Wednesday), I give up on PF and go to a competing Ford dealership. As I am working with them that day, I contact a sales manager directly at PF, who tells me that Harold has been fired (although later, another representative informed me that Harold quit, so who knows). Of course, none of the operators or other employees I spoke with on Monday and Tuesday told me that. This manager says that he will call me in 15 minutes. 30 minutes go by and still no phone call. So, I called PF again, and again I asked for a sales person who knows about Ford super duties. The operator just sends me to a random sales person. Again, I ask the salesperson for someone who knows about Ford super duties, and he says that he is such a person. This second salesperson knows that I am not just a "cold call" because I told him I had been in there with Harold and that I had spoken to the manager. This second salesperson keeps calling me by the wrong name ("Mike" and my name is "Ben") and promises to get me stock numbers on trucks that he thinks may possibly work. I never ask for promises over the phone, and I think that is fair. This second salesperson says he will in just a few minutes, and hours later I finally get them--after numerous additional requests. This second salesperson also tells me that he does not think it will be possible to work the numbers like I want. This actually suits me fine because I appreciate his honesty. After all, I don't have an issue with someone saving me hours of my time by just being upfront with me. Had our relationship ended there, I would not be writing this. But it is what comes next that warrants attention. Following the second salesperson's candid (and highly appreciated comment), I continue to work with the PF competitor and we come to terms on the numbers I wanted. I contacted the second salesperson at PF and thanked him for his candid remarks and informed him that I had reached a deal with the competitor and would just go that route. Suddenly, it was no longer impossible to reach my numbers. All I needed to do was drive all the way across town and give PF a shot in person. I thought about it long and hard and the cheapskate in me really contemplated going just in case I could actually beat the deal I already had. With all the red flags already raised, I decided to stick with what I had gotten, which is actually a very good deal. After all, one in the hand is worth two in the bush. Plus, based on the fact that PF had already stated they could not reach my figures, I determined that wasting four hours there would have been an exercise in futility. The reason I am giving PF a bad rating can be summed as follows: (1) when I asked for a salesperson with a particular knowledge regarding the product I did not get it; (2) when the salesperson I was working with quit/was fired, no one bothered to tell me voluntarily or when I called the dealership asking to speak with him; (3) my second salesperson was way to "wheeler-dealer" for me even though he initially (and probably honestly) said that PF would not be able to do the deal; and (4) the failure of PF employees to make call-backs and to supply information in the time frames promised. It's simply not a place I would risk using to make a $50,000+ automobile purchase. More
I was contacted by phone by a female to let me know the vehicle I was looking for was in. Was told the price on the internet was negotiable and they will work with me. After driving all the way out there, vehicle I was looking for was in. Was told the price on the internet was negotiable and they will work with me. After driving all the way out there, the salesmanager wanted to give me nothing for trade-in, way less than blue book and said they would not negotiate price of the vehicle!!! The time I had spent there was a waste. They did not want my business as they were so busy and I guess it didn't matter to them. I was very dissapointed and received way better treatment elsewhere!
