Only appears to be interested in local customers I came across this dealership from a local online car group. Most of the people commenting had negative things to say about this dealership. I decid I came across this dealership from a local online car group. Most of the people commenting had negative things to say about this dealership. I decided to check out their website and found that they had decent pricing. With that said though, they do appear to be one of these dealerships that like to make up for lower advertised pricing, by adding on dealer add-ons. I.E. Spray in bedliner for $500, paint and fabric protection for $500, Window tint for $300, wheel lock for $170, and Vehicle DNA (whatever that is) for $600. So although they may have decent advertised pricing, they also add-on $2000 in their dealer add-ons. I currently have a truck that I will be trading in. This dealership has a link to blackbook to find an amount on your trade-in. The blackbook value for my truck is $38k-$44k. So there is a $6k possible discrepancy between dealer to dealer. I contacted this dealer to find out how much they will give me for my truck on trade. If I don’t agree with the trade amount, there is no point in moving forward with picking a new truck and agreeing to a pricing on it. I received an email back from a Colte Dinch. He said he needs to ask me a couple of questions. I asked what he needed from me because I just need a trade-in appraisal. I gave him all the info on my truck, the vin, a copy of the window sticker, many pictures, etc. He then responded with he needs me to pick a truck that I am looking at from their listed website inventory. I am not sure why he would have needed this but I figured he wanted to work overall numbers (trade-in, new truck prices, taxes, overall amount finance, etc). I went on their website and selected two trucks. One was a leftover 2017 F350 and the other was a 2018 F250 XLT. He then responds that the 2017 truck is sold and the 2018 truck is “a vehicle that is being built right now and we have no arrival date for that truck yet.” But he explains that they have a couple of vehicles that match that truck I am looking at. He then asks if I can make an appointment to come in on Saturday and they can show me trucks. I explained to Colte that the new truck is currently not important, I am just trying to get an estimate on my trade. That was the reason why I contacted them to begin with. I didn’t contact them looking for pricing on a new truck, or picking out a new truck, or trying to make an appointment to see a new truck, or sifting through their online inventory and trying to find out what trucks they do or do not have on their lot. I simply and originally just wanted a trade-in appraisal. I was pretty straight forward about that from the beginning. I explained to Colte that I was not in the area and they were a decent drive away for me. He then responds back that they only do appraisals in person. I am about 7 hours (round trip) away from this dealership. About 450 miles away. And roughly $75 in gas away from them. We are not in the 90’s anymore. Most people now a days do their shopping and business via the internet, phone calls, texts, emails, etc. Colte is either full of it when it comes to having to be there in person to get an appraisal, or this dealership is living in the 90’s and/or only interested in selling locally. It’s very odd that this dealership wants everyone who doesn’t live in the area, to have to take the time to drive to them just to get an appraisal. Are they not interested in selling to people in San Antonio? Selling to people in Austin, Waco, DFW area, East Louisiana? If they are, are they seriously expecting everyone to drive their trade-in all the way to Humble Texas just to get an appraisal? I have done several purchases through the internet and drove many hours to my new vehicle. I just recently purchase a GTI from the North Austin area. I purchase a Lancer Evo from the Dallas area a couple years back. We had an agreed upon trade-in price and an agreed upon new car price and an agreed upon out the door price, prior to me traveling to the dealership. When I got there is was a simple sign and drive. All I can say is good luck to this dealership. It is apparent you are only interested in selling to people in the Houston area. If this is not the case, I suggest training Colte better because he is saying otherwise. I guess I’ll continue my shopping with one of the other several hundred Texas Ford dealerships. More

Painless, good advice and no bait/switch I went in anxious bc I’ve bought 7 cars in my life and every time (in previous experiences) you agree to a monthly price, then you’re shuffled info a I went in anxious bc I’ve bought 7 cars in my life and every time (in previous experiences) you agree to a monthly price, then you’re shuffled info a small finance room where the smoke and mirrors surface, then because of all the warranty, Tax/Title, Gap insurance add-ons, the monthly price goes up 35-40 dollars. Then you have to play xx ‘I’m gonna walk out on this deal games’ / finance rep goes to get ‘special approval’ from General Manager to ok (this usually happens 5-6 until ultimately you finally agree on the monthly payment originally agreed upon. Obviously, that 7-8hr experience is awful. Fortunately, my experience with Mr Ken was the polar opposite. In fact, he also gave me some financial advice and talked me out of a vehicle that I didn’t really need. He’s a great guy with a strong moral compass and I’ll be visiting him again and referring him business as often as I can. More
