Oil Change - Check Engine Light August 02, 2019: I took my 2017 Platinum Ford Explorer in for a oil change at Planet 🌎 Ford on 59. Oil change is FREE per my maintenance agreement, N August 02, 2019: I took my 2017 Platinum Ford Explorer in for a oil change at Planet 🌎 Ford on 59. Oil change is FREE per my maintenance agreement, No Problem! There is a hour wait, No Problem. I looked around at all the new vehicles in stock. Great 👍! They finally come get me after about 2 hours. Your SUV is ready, however the Check Engine Light is on now, wasn’t on when I brought it in. Service writer told me I could bring it back after the weekend to have it checked out. It would take all day and would cost a little over $400.. I was not satisfied with that so I left. I have a mechanic I’ve been using for 30 years. I told him the history, I asked for him to check it for me. I WENT IN FOR A OIL CHANGE, THE OIL SENSOR WAS THE CAUSE OF THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT! Coincidence maybe but I don’t think so. My point of this review is to tell everyone to get a SECOND OPINION or DIAGNOSIS if something does not seem right,after all it’s your money 💰 and your vehicle. Conclusion: There was nothing wrong with my Explorer and I didn’t waste a day & $400 for nothing. Hope this helps someone else. Great service from internet salesman, MR Richard Fuller. I have purchased 9 cars/trucks/vans from Randall Reed Ford and sent two more friends that also purchased. All were treated well. I called MR. Richard Fuller, told him what was of interest to us and when we walked in the door, he gave us the keys to two different autos for us too go inspect. We eliminated the Fusion and went with the Escape as it was easier for my wife to enter and exit with her bad back. All that left for us to do was pick the color. Our last purchase was a 5 speed that Richard found 200 miles away. The only 5 speed in a thousand mile circle. He got it to the dealership, had it prepped and we filled all the paperwork on line. Out the door in less than one hour. I am 100% happy with the treatment and service I received from MR Richard Fuller. More
