Mr. Ramsey must be very proud of his prices. I tried buying a Forester from a saleman named James but the best he could do is MSRP minus incentives. This is not a good deal. I have a benefit pricing tool from work that shows "excellent price" "great price" "fair price" and "high price" James kept the price above the "high price" category with his justification being showing me the 1950s invoice scam dealerships have been pulling since the dawn of time. We're living in the information age where with a little bit of smarts and an hour of one's time you can find the information your looking for on the net. I can't believe I wasted 3/4 of my day at both Ramsey dealerships. More

our experience with this dealer started 5 years ago when we were looking to buy a crosstrek, we bought a RAV4 because first the salesman used profanity and did no follow up , most recently the sales guy tay we were looking to buy a crosstrek, we bought a RAV4 because first the salesman used profanity and did no follow up , most recently the sales guy taylor was greats but when he was on vacation a different guy Justice took over and tried to push us into a color we didn’t want so he could get a sale by month end , then after we asked for our deposit back we were assured it would she 7-10 business days and our $1000 would go back to our account after 8 business days i called yesterday and they said they had not even started the refund and he would start it then and again it would would be 7-10 business days !! Never will again will I give them a chance at my business , Oh and we bought 2 new Hondas , big mistake Ramsey Subaru of Des Moines More
Ramsey Subaru was the only dealership in the metro that I visited (out of 8!) that didn't pressure me or ignore me - which every other dealership did one or the other, no in-between at all. I have unique needs (my spouse cannot physically tolerate the time commitment of car shopping so there is a lot of back and forth as I keep them fully engaged in the process. It takes longer for us, and I won't be pressured into reducing their involvement in this important family decision). Only Ramsey accepted this reality and worked with me without any issue or hesitation. Matt Grafft was my salesperson, and I highly recommend Matt! In fact, this was the second new Subaru I purchased from Matt - the last one was back in 2016! He's made a long career out of taking care of local Subaru owners and is extremely proud of and knowledgeable about all the vehicles Subaru offers. I had every question posed answered nearly immediately, follow ups were fast and complete, I was never rushed through a question, and he went out of his way to make certain I was happy and satisfied at every step of the process. It's great to be able to say "I have a car salesman for all my future car purchases" and not have that to worry about! When it came time to finalize the sale, they moved me through quickly so I wouldn't be away from my spouse too long. They worked with me to have things prepared so that it was a very smooth and efficient process. All pricing was transparent and explained, any question I had was patiently and fully answered. They sold me a car at a fair price, equipped exactly as I wanted it, with the addons I wanted at a fair price as well - and no pressure on things I noted I did not want, as I had done my research and knew precisely what add-ons and extras I wanted and wanted to avoid. This was not my experience at the other dealerships who simply showed no interest in helping craft a package that was right for me. I also noticed I was never alone at this dealership - morning, noon or night, there were always other customers in various states of shopping - other dealerships were often ghost towns. After shopping them all, I understand why. Be sure to visit Ramsey when you car shop, especially if you want your time to be valued and to feel respected throughout the process. Ask for Matt if you want to be well taken care of, but if he's busy, the other sales people will take great care of you too! Everyone I worked with was courteous, honest and helpful, without ever being pushy or ignoring me. They made a process I was dreading a stress-free and simple experience, and I am appreciative of their collaborative approach to my car buying experience. My first Ramsey purchase was a brand-new 1993 Grand Am. My 2024 Outback was my fifth Ramsey purchase. It will not be my last. Highly, highly recommended! More
