I received a phone call on 5/22/11 from Vincent Porter after putting an inquiry in for a Jeep Patriot online. He called as he was walking out the door and was very rude to me about my inquiry. We still drove to the dealer on 5/23/11 to give him another chance. Vince was friendly for roughly 15 minutes before he began to get frustrated because we wanted more for our trade-in and wanted a lower payment than we were being offered. As we dealt with him, the frustration built and he finally yelled at us because we would not accept the terms that were being offered. We do not feel that the team wanted to give us a better deal nor did they actually want our business. We gave them a number from the beginning of what we wanted for a payment and they never tried to match it. We ended up going to the Kirkland dealer and purchasing a 2011 Jeep Patriot Sport for the payment we wanted and we were given $2000 more for our trade-in than what Smokey Point offered. More
Avoid them lke the plague...very good until the ink's dry on the sale documents. sales screwed me over by making sure existing problems weren't noted on their side of the house. We came to check out an 06 Dodge Charger. At first we didn't think we'd be leaving with a new car. We just wanted to look and test drive. After dealing with Rairdon, we couldn't say no. i was totally surprised how much this dealer helped out my friend. I took my friend there to buy a used vehicle cause i bought mine there, he sat with us for 2 days making sure we got the price and monthly my friend. He also made sure we got the right vehicle for the driver. He was very open and honest with us, and was even going out of his way looking for the right vehicles at other locations. I bought my car from here and it was the worst mistake I've ever made. They are local so I gave them a chance. They talked the talk and walked the walk and I fell for it. I'm not going to go into all the problems I encountered but, suffice to say that after giving them numerous chances to redeem themselves, I have had enough. Today was the last straw...I took my car in for an oil change a couple weeks ago. Service department was great. but, what I noticed while I was there, was that the dealership itself was really dirty. Dust caked (not even kidding...look at the chrome chrysler sign - Gross) all over everything and when I walked out onto the lot no one seemed interested in even acknowledging me. I didn't give it a second thought, as I've had quite a few problems with them previously and it just seemed par for the course until, I was chosen for a phone survey. I told the person I talked to what I observed and left it at that. Didn't think anything would come of it but, today I received a follow up call from someone at the dealership and, when I told him what I observed, he seemed to get very defensive and kept trying to justify what I had described to him. His lack of interest in what I had to say only irratated me... then, to add insult to injury, he closed the conversation by saying it sounds like you don't like our dealership and, I was just going to offer you a free oil change. At this point I was very upset and told him I didn't need his "free oil change" and, proceeded to hang up. There are far too many dealerships out there who are more than happy to perform my car maintenance and take my money and, in this economy you would think they would be appreciative for the business. From the moment we walked on the lot at Smokey Point Rairdon's Adam was very friendly and attentive to what I was looking for. I spent the next few days researching the car and shopping around for the best deal. Adam called a couple times to follow-up but was never pushy. He offered to let me take the car for a few hours to see how it would accommodate my 7 month old with his car seat and all his gear. Adam was very knowledgeable about all the features of the Journey and even programmed the radio stations and set up the U Connect phone system for me (just for my test drive). A couple days later I heard from the manager, Brian and we were able to negotiate a deal over the phone with an email confirmation. When I arrived to finalize the deal I knew exactly what I was getting and there were no surprises. Everyone worked as quickly as possible to help me get out the door with my new car in time to put my little one to bed. I appreciate the fact that SP Rairdon's valued my time and did not try to give me the run-around. I absolutely love my new Dodge Journey, and will continue to do business at SP Rairdon's. More
