We had our engine light come on, so my husband took it to another car place to get the code info to see what was going on. My husband after he found out what was going on called the dealership and asked if w another car place to get the code info to see what was going on. My husband after he found out what was going on called the dealership and asked if we could bring the car in and told them what was going on. They said this week would be great to bring it in because their schedule was pretty open. He made the appointment for Wednesday and took a day off to help me because we have young kids. (Also his last vacation day he could take off and instead of saving this day for Christmas eve, he thought this was important since we have 4 kids and wanted us to feel safe in our car). We got there on Wednesday switched the carseats and everything then went in to tell them our car was here. Then they preceded to tell him that the appointment was for today, but that the car would not be able to be worked on till the next day and that our car wouldn't be ready for 2-3 days!!! He was shocked and asked to talk to the manager because 1. We were NEVER told it would take that long and 2. My husband took his last day of vacation off to handle this and then was told the car wasn't even going to be worked on today. 3. We have 6 people in our family I take our kids to and from school and to activities if we knew it was going to take this long we would have prepared better 4. What company makes you drop off your car the day before and doesn't tell you it won't be worked on till the next day and DOESN'T HAVE A RENTAL FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! I came in after my husband asked for the manager and was so furious and then the manager told me I should have assumed it was going to take longer in case we needed a new part, when they specially told us we could come pick it up the same day! Why is it my responsibility to know the ins and outs of what's going on behind the scenes at the dealership. I dont know what parts they have or dont have. If im told that I can come get it the night of and no one tells me its going to take multiple days then im not going to assume that. We decided to call another jeep dealership and told them the situation and what happened to us. They agreed with us that they should have told us it was going to be longer. So we decided to book the appointment with them. They also told us that it would only take a couple hrs to find out the issue because it's an ODB reader and code error check. Im beyond upset (and yea I showed my anger sorry for the people who were in there) with this dealership and the fact that the manager couldn't apologize for not being honest with us and that they messed up for not telling us all the information upfront and blaming it on me because I should have asked more questions is crazy to me. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NEVER GO HERE. The general manager did offer a wagoneer after I made a scene, but because they lied just to get the job and the way the management team handle it, we made the choice to go somewhere else and after reading the Yelp reviews as well I'm glad we did. We brought our van to Rairdon’s Marysville after having been diagnosed with some issues at another local mechanic. We were told by the previous mechanic that there is coolant in one of our cylinders which been diagnosed with some issues at another local mechanic. We were told by the previous mechanic that there is coolant in one of our cylinders which is causing the engine to hydrolock which is also causing a battery relay and starter to fail. We realized this issue may be under our vehicles warranty and decided to take it to Rairdon’s. Upon dropping the van off we inform the service adviser (Tony) multiple times in person and later over the phone about the said issues. Mainly concerned about the coolant in the cylinder bc we are concerned it’s the main issue causing the other problems. After having the car for a while Tony calls to tell us our starter and battery relay need to be replaced. We ask again for our cylinders to be checked as well bc the issue with the starter and battery relay will happen again. We are hesitant to only approve work on the starter and battery relay. Tony later calls to tell us they had a starter “laying around” replaced it, and got our van to start, and that there was no coolant in the cylinders. At this point we are unsure who to believe but think the first mechanic may have gotten it wrong, so we agree to have the two things fixed that were recommended. We pick the car up on a Friday evening, drive to a few stores and I notice smoke coming from the exhaust and an odd smell I’ve never smelled before. We drive it home and early Saturday morning I go to start the van, and it doesn’t start. Sounds exactly like before. We have the van towed back to Rairdon’s and after they look at the van, they tell us we have coolant in multiple cylinders. After talking with the GM it was confirmed that Tony lied about the cylinders being checked at our last visit. I believe their exact words were “there was no indication of coolant being in the cylinders”. I believe telling them several times that was our concern and that it was confirmed by another mechanic is exactly that, an indication. I would caution anyone seeking transparency and honestly from bringing their vehicles to this service department. They currently still have our vehicle, I may update this review after the situation is fully resolved. More
