I liked t My husband and I went to Rainier Dodge to trade in my 2008 Dodge Ram for a newer model and I was certain that I knew exactly what I wanted. I liked the simplicity of my old truck and wanted to keep things anti-tech in my new truck. My husband and I worked with Gregg and he found a new truck in Oregon that meet most, if not all of the "must-haves" on my list. We made the purchase, the truck was shipped up and I took it home. Despite it being the exact truck I "thought" I wanted, a Tradesman model, I found that the lack of a multi-way adjustable seat caused my back to hurt and knew within a day that this truck was not going to work. I know that once the purchase is done, the dealer is under no obligation to accept it back, but we called anyway, and much to my surprise (!!!!!!), Gregg said to bring it back, and he would provide a new truck loaner until we came up with the right fit for me! We sat down that weekend and revisited the available models and Gregg urged me to consider the Dodge Ram Outdoorsman model...it was a bit more "techy" than I wanted, but everything else on my list of "must-haves", and "would-be-nice-to-have" matched. Gregg even located a model in my top choice color! He went ahead and ordered the truck from the other dealer and when it arrived, he assured me that if it wasn't perfect, we would keep looking. We took it home for the weekend and I was in love!!! It took a few days to get the paperwork squared away since the loan and registration for the first purchase had already gone through, but the fact that Gregg and Rainier Dodge were even willing to go through the hassle was amazing! I can hardly describe how much I love my new truck...and I am even getting more accustomed to the technology and enjoying it! Gregg really went above and beyond to make us happy and he has my highest recommendation if you are looking to purchase a new or used car! My family has also used their service department for more than three years now and never had an issue. They have always been flexible with scheduling, direct with repair costs and what needed to be done vs what could wait, and answered every question in a way we could understand. More
Do not use their Service Department. I have a 2006 Dodge Durango. It was acting strange poor mileage etc. I drop it off and get a call. They said I needed Software update, Injector/Throttle Body Clea Dodge Durango. It was acting strange poor mileage etc. I drop it off and get a call. They said I needed Software update, Injector/Throttle Body Cleaning, Spark plugs, Tranny Service, Coolant Flush, Brake lines Flushed, and some Broken Exhaust bolts replaced. 1622.00 Later and 2 days without my truck. I drove it off the lot and didn’t get 10miles when the engine light came on and the Lurching it was doing was still there!!! I did some research and found that the EGR Valve was the issue. 40.00 and 1 hour of my time and it was fixed. The Truck runs like a dream now!!!! So Don’t Trust this dealership! I put my trust in them and I got taken. I feel like I was robbed. All I got was a sorry. I took it to the dealer thinking I could trust them. What I don’t understand is I’m not a Mechanic and I solved the issue myself with 40.00. And the people that work on these cars every day couldn’t even after they stole 1622.00 from me. I will not deny that some of the things they did were needed but come on! They saw me coming. The GM wouldn’t even respond to my Email. More
So I purchased a truck from Rainer Dodge three years ago and had custom heated seats installed. Something, I am not sure what occurred with my husband and his friend while buying an additional car. From the and had custom heated seats installed. Something, I am not sure what occurred with my husband and his friend while buying an additional car. From the jest of it, upset expectations and false hope. Blah Blah Blah. My husband received a very nice letter from Gene Johnson apologizing for the incident. Done right? Not even close, after years of receiving letters and phone calls from Casey Johnson ( the wonderful Mr. Gene's son) my seats stopped working after a friend vacuumed my truck. o on Tuesday this week an appointment was made, the seats were after market and an interesting install according to the wonderful mechanic that installed them. Today, which is Friday I received a phone call from service stating they would not service my truck and to contact management. I called in and after a bit of run around and a second phone call I was able to speak with Casey Johnson. He informed me that he would not service my truck or do any business with my family. This was most confusing after receiving at least monthly requests for business and a letter requesting my husbands Challenger with the included offer of a steak dinner to do business again. It seemed to me that the events of the past were water under the bridge considering the numerous mailings and phone calls. I just wanted my seats fixed, I was in a bad accident and it is agony to drive without heat. Not to mention my husband, a combat wounded veteran of the armed forces recently had his spine fused and sustained a cord injury as a result. With numerous trips to the Seattle VA, heat for the trip is a must. Yeah I could drive his Challenger and I have, however my beast makes me feel safe and is far easier for him to get in. I thought about the mailings, phone calls and letter from Gene and decided to call back and speak with him. Gene that is, I had waited with my info on the books all week and did not understand why I was not contacted earlier in the week if there was in fact an issue. I spoke with the receptionist Josie and asked for Gene Johnson, I was transferred back to Casey who pretended to be his father. Really!? I had to simply hang up. How pathetic. We had referred numerous friends and family members to purchase vehicles from Rainer Dodge, not cheap ones either. My friend bought two Chargers from them and had expensive amenities added. Another purchased two vehicles with cash outright, the third a Charger. Love for Mopar is contagious. I had continued to refer people their way. I was happy with my truck and believe in giving credit where credit is due. I cannot even recall the number of random dudes that admired my truck and asked where they could get one like it. I have no choice but to stop that today, I am appalled at Casey's behavior and I feel bad for his father. I had nothing to do with whatever went down, didn't even truly know what happened. If it was anything like the sorry impersonation that Casey did of his father today and the attached phone games and antics I now understand my husbands anger. I used to be that voice saying, we bought a lot from Rainer Dodge and let's give them another chance. WOW, not sure what else to say. More

I just wish you had a rating below zero More
WE BEGAN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS DEALERSHIP BY LEAVING OUR 2000 DODGE DAKOTA TRUCK HERE WHILE WE WERE ON VACATION. THEY CALLED TO TELL US THAT OUR TRUCK NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. WHEN WE RETURNED FROM VA OUR 2000 DODGE DAKOTA TRUCK HERE WHILE WE WERE ON VACATION. THEY CALLED TO TELL US THAT OUR TRUCK NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. WHEN WE RETURNED FROM VACATION TO PICK UP THE TRUCK, WE DECIDED TO BUY A NEW ONE AND KEEP OUR OLD ONE FOR OUR DAUGHTER. FIRST THE DODGE DAKOTA, DID NOT NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION AS WE WERE TOLD BUT WHEN WE FOUND THIS OUT, WE HAD ALREADY BOUGHT A USED 2005 DODGE RAM 1500. WE NOTICED SOME NOISES IN THE REAR END AND THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US THEY WOULD HAVE THEIR SERVICE DEPT DO A FULL INSPECTION OF THE TRUCK IF WE BOUGHT IT. THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAD COME UP WITH SOME THINGS TO FIX SO WE RETURNED A FEW DAYS LATER TO HAVE THE TRUCK SERVICED. THEY HAD TRIED TO SELL US A WARRANTY BUT WE HAD AT FIRST DECLINED THEN ANOTHER PERSON TALKED US INTO BUYING THE WARRENTY, WHICH I BELIEVE IS DUE TO THEM KNOWING THIS TRUCK HAS MAJOR ISSUES. AFTER HAVING THIS TRUCK IN THEIR SHOP 3 DIFFERENT TIMES FOR NOISES THAT THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT, WE BROUGHT IT OVER THE PASSES. ON OUR WAY BACK IT MADE A WHINING NOISE ALL THE WAY HOME AND WE HAD A TOW TRUCK TOW IT TO THEM THE NEXT DAY. THEY HAD THE TRUCK FOR 6 DAYS WHEN WE GOT IT BACK IT HAD ANOTHER ISSUE IN THE FRONT END THAT THEY WOULD OF NOTICED IF THEIR SERVICE TECHNICIAN HAD OF TEST DROVE THE TRUCK AFTER DOING THE WORK BUT THEY DIDNT. THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION AT THIS DEALERSHIP, I HAD TO KEEP CALLING THEM FOR AN UPDATE DAY AFTER DAY WITH NO ANSWERS OR MUCH OF AN UPDATE. WHEN WE REALIZED THEIR WAS AN UNRESOLVED ISSUE WE TOOK THE TRUCK TO A DIFFERENT DODGE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. I BELIEVE THIS DEALERSHIP IS CROOKED AND THAT THEY KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK WHEN THEY SOLD IT TO US. FIGURED IF THEY SOLD US A WARRANTY THEY WOULD BE IN THE CLEAR. THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. More
Took our Dodge Sprinter RV there to check and fix "check engine" light that stayed on. Tried a couple of things. Didn't work. So had to do the "expensive thing" (injector)... $3600 later we picke "check engine" light that stayed on. Tried a couple of things. Didn't work. So had to do the "expensive thing" (injector)... $3600 later we picked the vehicle up. Engine light came back on a few miles out. 5 miles down the road it STALLED while driving on the freeway. (It had never stalled on us before.) Expensive; they didn't fix the problem; now it stalls. I will not entrust my vehicle to them again. >S More
I would never buy a car from here. Ever. Want to know how they make all their money? One of the salesmen told me how they find out the prices on all of the used cars after i kept pushing about the price of a they make all their money? One of the salesmen told me how they find out the prices on all of the used cars after i kept pushing about the price of a car. If you look at the sticker on the windshield the bottom number will say something like 91 or 23 or whatever. That number reversed is what the price is so if the sticker says 72, then they are selling it for 27,000.00 When you ask the salesmen how much the car is they will tell you its like a few thousand dollars more than that. The truth is the dealership paid a lot less for the car than what they are trying to sell for so pretty much when they give you a bogus price they are just trying to take money from you. As for the new cars, when i asked the sales guy he said that the selling price is the "second sticker" which is nothing but pure profit for them. what they actually paid for the car and what it actually should be is about 2,000 less than the MSRP price. They keep trying to rip people off so I'd never buy anything from them. More
If you disagree with their so called assessment of work needed, and you go above their head to demand the proper work done on your vehicle, they will REFUSE further notice to you....only guilty individuals needed, and you go above their head to demand the proper work done on your vehicle, they will REFUSE further notice to you....only guilty individuals treat others with disrespect!! DO NOT take your vehicle here for any work, unless you want somebody to charge you for new parts, and use old ones off of their shelves out in the back "supply room!" More
