I took delivery of my 2007 Mercedes C-230 on May 9, 2012. I was very happy with my car until 3 days after the sale, I noticed a rattle sound coming from the left rear of the vehicle. I was then informed by my mechanic that the rear springs and suspension was bad and it will cost me about 900.00 dollars to repair the problem. I know this was a as-is sale, but i guess buyer beware is the answer for this problem. I was also unhappy to learn that there was no history of when the vehicle was last serviced before i purchased it. I was informed that the vehicle was purchased about 2 days before I purchased it and it was put out for sale without any service being done. I was then informed that i should get the vehicle serviced as soon as possible. How can i recommend a dealership to future customers, if that dealership can't stand behind a vehicle that cost 18,000.00 dollars. I can understand if i purchased a vehicle that cost 3,000.00 dollars, but 18,000.00 dollars. I know that my problem is not your problem and that the sale has been done, but we live in a sad state of affairs when we can't walk into a car dealership with faith that that dealership will act in good faith and provide the customer with the satisfaction of knowing that they (the customer) will get a vehicle that they can depend on and will last at least a week without having to take it to have it repaired. The customer service is the best. I've purchased 10+ cars and never been happy enough with a dealership to return. I will not buy from another dealer other than Rainbow Imports and I will refer all my friend and never been happy enough with a dealership to return. In addition, it is nice to have a local dealer that handles sales, parts and service on imports rather than driving to Baton Rouge or Metairie. They are accomodating and friendly. :-) More
This dealership is horrible!! I went in looking for a small 4-cylinder communter car for college & they kept showing me brand new 6-cylinders and cars way out of my price range. After I told him for about the 12th time, he finally showed me a Forenza, which I really liked. However, the car was covered in dings and dents and scratches, inside and out! They would not negotiate the price at all. I told him I was willing to pay no more than 10 thousand after TT&L, and his only argument was "everyone has to pay taxes" It had nothing to do with taxes!! I wasnt paying almost $20 thousand dollars for a used car that was beat up & not not taken care of. I called back and told the salesperson that if he could get me out the door at $10 thous then i'd pay in cash & pick it up tomorrow. He said he'd speak with his manager & call me back. Never heard from him again. I went to the Suzuki dealership in Hammond & it was a much better experience. I found another Forenza, MUCH better condition, 50,000 less miles, under full warranty, and in my price range. The salesmen did not hassle or pressure us. They were very patient and worked with us to make us happy! More
I and my wife were mislead by the sales persons, on two occasions by two different salesmen. This caused us to lose time (hours), money and energy. When the owner (so we were told) was informed of this he had a cavalier attitude and essentially stated, "Oh, well, thanks for stopping by and have a nice day but don't let the door hit you in the butt. . ." They had no value for the customer or their integrity. Go ANYWHERE else but to this dealer to purchase your vehicle. If you value your own integrity, don't go to this dealership. More
