As I was getting in my car to go to work on the coldest day of the year, it was 3 degrees that morning, the window on the passenger’s side door shattered as I closed my door. I called the dealer to schedul day of the year, it was 3 degrees that morning, the window on the passenger’s side door shattered as I closed my door. I called the dealer to schedule an appointment to have it replaced. They said they needed to order it, and it should be in the next day which I agreed to and asked if I could get a loaner while my car was in the shop. They said they wouldn’t have one available until the next Monday, this was on Wednesday, and I agreed and scheduled it for Monday. On Monday I drop my car off first thing in the morning and get a loaner for the day, I had no complaints so far. At the end of the day, they call me and tell me they couldn’t get to my car and that I can hold on to the loaner for another day. Toward the end of the next day, they call me and let me know my car is ready. I go to pick up my car, and they give me the keys to the car, and I check it out before I get in to leave. The first thing I notice is that there is glass on the seat and the floorboard (I thoroughly vacuumed up all the glass inside the car before dropping it off), then when I checked the window to see if it goes up and down properly I hear a loud scratching noise. I went to get the service guy to show him, and he asked if I would like to leave it for another day, which I did. Late in the afternoon the next day they call me to tell me that I can pick up my car. I drop off the key to the loaner with the service guy and he sends someone out to bring me my car. I waited for several minutes and the guy who went to get my car comes back in, talks to the service guy, goes into a back office, and walks out with a battery charger. I look at the service guy and he says to me” It’ll be a few minutes, your car is parked behind some other cars that they need to move to get my car out.” I tell him that my car is parked right outside the service bay and that I saw it as I came in and asked if the guy was taking the charger out to my car. He says my battery must be weak, and I tell him no it isn’t, it’s a relatively new battery and I had no trouble starting the car when it was so cold, to which he replies “we had to start the car several time which must have drained the battery”. If he would have just said I’m sorry but we need to charge the battery we must have drained it I wouldn’t have had a problem with that, but he lied to me and then tried to cover up the lie with these excuses. Finally, they bring the car in, and I go out to look at it. The first thing I notice is that the window is covered in this oily film, then I see more glass on the seat, floorboard, and dashboard, and the bottom of the windshield and wiper blades was cover in pine needles and twigs. I get the service guy, show him, and tell him how disappointed I am at the quality of service I received after spending $600 to have a window replaced. I could go on, but I’ve rambled on long enough about it. There are other places that I could have taken my car, but I took it to the dealership thinking they would provide a better service, that’s a mistake I won’t make again. More
