BEWARE OF ASC WARRANTY .... DO NOT PURCHASE!!! WARNING ..... WARNING!!! RIP OFF ..... RIP OFF!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANY ASC WARRANTY PROTECTION PLAN FROM RPM MOTORS. THE WARRANTY IS DECEPTIVELY PR WARNING ..... WARNING!!! RIP OFF ..... RIP OFF!!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANY ASC WARRANTY PROTECTION PLAN FROM RPM MOTORS. THE WARRANTY IS DECEPTIVELY PRESSURED TO BE ADDITIONALLY PURCHASED BY ONE DURING THE SALE OF A VEHICLE AND ASC WARRANTY DOES NOT HONOR THE ADVERTISED COVERAGE. BETWEEN THE ASC WARRANTY PREMIUM I PAID AND THE COST OF ADVERTISED COVERED REPAIRS NOT PAID BY ASC WARRANTY ("air conditioning & electrical") I HAVE PERSONALLY LOST MORE THAN $6,400. On August 5, 2016 I purchased a 2014 GMC Acadia from Larry Kubehl of RPM Motors in New Glarus, WI. At that time he strongly suggested and pressured me "given the age of the vehicle and the high costs of repairs for a Denali" that I additionally purchase the ASC Deluxe Extended Warranty ($2,950) for "total piece of mind with bumper to bumper coverage anywhere in the country." Said was appealing as I am disabled and live on a fixed income. On May 24, 2018 I brought my vehicle to an authorized GM Dealer in Hermantown, MN for repair of the air conditioning unit and the electrical navigation system. There remained over 2 months and 21,000 miles of my coverage for for what the ASC Warranty advertised as "Mechanical Breakdown Protection You Can't Afford to be Without." The GM Service Representative then contacted ASC Warranty (800-264-5090) to identify the needed repairs to my vehicle and obtain authorization for payment of such by ASC Warranty. Despite the flagrant misrepresentation of ASC Warranty's "bumper to bumper" coverage by Mr. Kubehl during the purchase of my vehicle, the ASC Warranty information and contract issued me by RPM Motors stated that the "Deluxe Coverage [includes] all parts and all items below ... air conditioning, electrical." ASC Warranty informed the authorized GM Service Representative that only one part of the air conditioning repair would be covered by the warranty (i.e. attenuator) and the electrical problem would not be covered. The repair cost to me while possessing and paying a $2,950 premium for the ASC Deluxe Warranty was an additional $3,400 out-of-pocket expense for repairs that Mr. Kubehl stated would be covered by the ASC Warranty. At the minimum I believe I am a victim of consumer fraud perpetuated by being pressured into purchasing an extended warranty (i.e. ASC Warranty) by Larry Kubehl of RPM Motors Inc, of New Glarus, WI. Moreover Mr. Kubehl knowingly misrepresented the extent of "total piece of mind with bumper to bumper coverage anywhere in the country" solely to increase his commission from the sale of the vehicle. As a result of RPM Motors' deceptive sales practice I am forced to pay approximately $6,400 to repair a four year old vehicle that should have been covered by the ASC Deluxe Warranty that was pressured upon me during its purchase. I am sufficiently livid over the matter to the extent that I have filed a formal complaint with the State of Wisconsin's Department of Justice Consumer Protection and Antitrust Unit as well as the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Consumer Protection.
