Quirk has been known to have a dishonest reuputation by both other car dealers in the area. In the past, I have dealt with them for a VW purchase and they definately are the epitome of the stereotypical ca both other car dealers in the area. In the past, I have dealt with them for a VW purchase and they definately are the epitome of the stereotypical car dealership. They have trained them on a very specific sales process. (Greeting, build rappor, dissapear, pull a car up beind you so you can't leave, have you test drive a car you didn't ask for, tell you they can work something out). Their biggest selling point is that they give you an offer you can't refuse and have you come down.. I mean who could say no to having an 8yr extended warranty included in the price!! (Red flag #1) I was looking for a very specific car... when I let them know I was coming in to test drive it, The car was" suddenly sold a few minutes before". (Red flag #2) The rep I worked with said they were busy (the place was empty on a Saturday) and didn't see my email to let me know. I test drove a similar car, however, that wasn't the car that had my interest so we didn't move forward. One strategy to be aware of, is they pull a car up behind you, requiring a sales person to move the car for you to leave. (Red flag #3) The person that helped me was nice, professional, but the fact that I felt that I drove about 50 mins to see a car that wasn't there after having regular communication felt very disrespectful. Honestly, shame on me. It was an offer too good to be true. The red flags were there such as not posting the window sticker for transparency - Red flag #4 (which im pretty sure is the law), so you can't even compare the quote.. and the kicker.... that car that "Just sold" is is still listed.... Its just a fake listing to attract other people like me to "test drive" a car that didn't exisit. In a time where trust is a commodity, If you live in New England, you have so many options to purchase cars from reputable, and transparent dealers. More
Purchased my 2024 Subaru Impreza back in 2024 and the undercarriage apparently was hanging causing damage. There was no dash light or any notification of what was wrong. Was driving to Maine and heard undercarriage apparently was hanging causing damage. There was no dash light or any notification of what was wrong. Was driving to Maine and heard scary noises and thought it was the tire, well Patriot Subaru in Saco Maine looked over the car and explained that the undercarriage bolts are no longer and that it must be that we ran over something. Never did I, but he was so nice and took such good care of it and saw needed alignment. Did the alignment and we headed to Maine. Got to Maine and mechanic looked at it and ziptied the undercarriage so we could make it home safely. Got home and on Monday was supposed to have an appt but state wide driving ban, so couldn't get there till Wednesday. Mike had car looked at, told us parts are back ordered with not ETA and took off remaining part of undercarriage and told me safe to drive, wouldn't give me a loaner. I said how can it be safe to drive, if I drive there is not undercarriage and driving it was not going to happen, because they already told me it was my fault that it was broken. Again, I explained that I did not run anything over. Would not give a loaner car because them not being able to fix it qualified me for a loaner and that not to worry it would be fine. Well again, I disagree, the undercarriage is there for a reason, and if no undercarriage, it could be further damaged and I would be financially responsible for any further damage. I then out of frustration called Subaru in Hanover, parts department. The gentleman I spoke to was AMAZING and understanding. He gave me telephone number for 5 Subaru dealers in CT, 1 in Bangor Maine and 1 in Manchester NH. Called NH Subaru and they have the parts in stock and now I am going to drive 2 hours to get my car fixed. I would have thought that anyone who works at Subaru could have made those same calls that I did and get the parts and make an appt at that dealership. This was not even attempted by Quirk Subaru in Braintree, it was left that they would call me when car part comes in and that its ok to drive it. So my car has been sitting for a week and now because of Hanover Subaru I know where to take my car. It is appalling that Quirk didn't even do anything. Very unsatisfied Subaru Impreza owner. More

I explai My family has been with quirk Subaru for many years. At a time when interest rates were high Tom (manager) talked me into leasing an ascent. I explained I drive a high amount of miles and he said it’s not a big deal bc the value will balance out the miles. (Have these in emails). When it was time to trade my car in for a new one, I started ) months before my car was up for lease. He said the car payment would jump another $357 due to adding the miles on the new car. He would only credit me $2000 for miles. They wouldn’t help. He began to text me in November asking me to trade or upgrade my car. At this point I was already lied to and disappointed in the dealership. In the end the car does not balance out. I was left with paying $7300, no one from Subaru would help me. I had to eat the miles and went to a different dealership to buy a car outright.. Do not buy or especially lease if you go over miles. You will end up paying so much more and get screwed. More
When it comes to automotive service, many people are understandably hesitant to trust dealership service centers, often fearing long wait times, high costs, and impersonal interactions. However, my rece understandably hesitant to trust dealership service centers, often fearing long wait times, high costs, and impersonal interactions. However, my recent experience at Quirk Works Subaru has completely redefined my expectations, and much of that is thanks to the extraordinary service provided by Mike Bolinder, a service advisor who is truly in a league of his own. “Everyone needs a Mike.” This statement couldn’t be more accurate. From the moment I walked in, Mike’s warm and empathetic demeanor set the tone for a completely different kind of dealership experience. He greets every client with genuine care and attentiveness, taking the time to listen and fully understand your concerns—no matter how small or complex they may seem. He doesn’t just provide updates on your car’s progress—he takes the time to explain the “why” behind each recommendation, offering clarity and peace of mind. You never feel rushed or like just another customer in a long line. Instead, you feel like you are working with someone who genuinely wants the best for you and your vehicle. That level of commitment and care is something you don’t often find in this industry, and it’s why I believe Mike is someone you want to see every time you visit. We just bought a new Legacy and couldn’t be happier with the Quirk experience. We loved our old Legacy, but had to replace it after an accident. There was no question we’d buy another Legacy. I’m not in the habit of leaving reviews because, truth be told, depending on the day, time & place, each review can be entirely different. In addition, a review can be subjective, (based on my personal o told, depending on the day, time & place, each review can be entirely different. In addition, a review can be subjective, (based on my personal observation) or objective, (not based on a personal viewpoint) So, when leaving a review about a car dealership, you can probably see where it can get confusing. Let’s just say that you are interested in a particular brand and model of a car. You’ve been mildly to moderately interested for a few months, without making any phone calls. You’re thinking about a dealership that sells many, many vehicles. Their website advertises the lowest prices for Subarus, and although you don’t know much more than that about them, you make the phone call, someone answers and is exceeding polite in the conversation. This person’s non-aggressive demeanor, along with his ability to cheerfully answer every possible question that you ask, while never seeming to offer any more than that, surprises you. That’s the way that it started when I first spoke by phone with Michael Nocera, at Quirk Works Subaru in Braintree. Over the course of a week, Michael and I continued to speak by phone, there were many more questions, some repeated, with my never visiting the dealership! There were moments when I thought that I must have been trying Michael’s patience, yet there was never any indication of it. If you go online and read the newest automotive reviews for Subaru, whether you’ve ever owned one or not, you have to be impressed in a positive way. Needless to say, not only am I now driving a new 2023 Outback Premium, it’s entirely due to Michael Nocera. I cannot describe in this review just how easy that he made it happen. I had to laugh when he said that I was one of the hardest sales that he ever made, because it sure didn’t feel that way. By the way, at age 20, Michael Nocera is on his way to becoming one of the highest producers in sales volume, of Subarus, in the United States. Don’t take my word for it. Quirk Works Subaru is easily the largest producer on the east coast and in the top five, across the country. When you decide to make your own phone call, you’ll not only be pleased to meet Michael Nocera. You’ll may eventually also feel proud to be driving such a respected brand. More
