At first, when the promotions are luring, and when you first walk in to purchase your car, the customer service is flawless. But once you experience any legitimate issues, such as, for example, INTERNAL ENGINE FAILURE after only 2.5 years of driving a brand new car, then they could care less about your story. The 2015 Kia Forte I had leased in 2014 started giving me problems shortly after completing 2 years. Battery leaking acid, alternator causing my car to die at every set of lights, brakes going bad, etc. Needless to say, none of these issues were covered by warranty, and so there goes $300. When I took my car to a third-party shop I trust (dear friends are the owners), they tested the alternator in front of me, and suggested I take the car to Kia Service so they could replace it - since that was still under warranty. I did. The tech was very nice at Pride Kia in Lynn, but after they had my car for three days, they just called me and asked for receipts of my oil changes. No explanation, no reason why. Just fax us the receipts. I did. I had to show up at the service center to find out what was going on, and the tech told me I had "Internal Engine Failure" and that the engine needed to be replaced. So they asked for the receipts to try to see if I would have them, or else they would have pinned a new motor on me. And so a MONTH later, my car is ready. I pull it out of the service center and engine light goes on. I go back in, they turn it off (hmm), and then I leave. A day later, there it goes again. I had no more peace of mind driving this car. So here is where it gets lovely. I drive the 40 minutes to Quirk Kia of Braintree where I leased the car, and ask to speak to a manager. Some guy called Matt, who calls himself a manager, sits with us, and I tell him my story. I wanted to see if there was anything I could do to switch this lemon to another car without carrying over the negative equity, since I still had a year left to go on a 4-year lease. He says "let me see what I can do". But before he did anything, I reassured him I didn't want another Kia. Then he simply says "There's nothing I can do for you". We (My mother and I) start trying to attempt to have conversation with him. He says Kia cars aren't supposed to last nowadays, engines fail, it's reality. We asked if he would allow his children to drive Kias knowing the engine could fail on brand new cars at any moment, and he arrogantly said yes. Then he gets up, as to shoo us out of the dealership, says have a nice day, and that's it. That's what we get for leasing a car from Quirk Kia. Sweet. Less than 5 minute conversation. I just got up and left. And the icing on the cake - he accuses my mother - MY MOTHER - of trying to come in and chasing after "easy money" - those exact words. Now you judge for yourself. We drove right to Toyota in Lynn, carried the negative equity into a brand new lease AND put money down - and the lease is more expensive. Are we after easy money? The arrogance, mistreatment, and humiliation we experienced went beyond anything we ever thought was possible. And for a car that was literally a piece of trash, which Matt himself admitted is "normal". This guy could have done so many things. If he was smart, he could've offered me a Chevy, which is part of Quirk. He could have offered me even a Subaru. He could have treated us like actual human beings. But the sad part is he didn't even try! Why? What did we do to deserve that? Was it our fault the car malfunctioned? Was he really assuming we were there to try to get out of a lease because we wanted "easy money"? He judged us simply because he got offended that a car he himself said was not made to last had given us problems and we no longer wanted a product from the same manufacturer. Can you blame us? That is the Kia product, or better yet, that is the Quirk Kia Product. If you value customer service and safety, Buy/Lease at your own risk. More

Talked to sales person and given a stock # that was never close to what I asked for. When questioned, the answer was we don't shop around for your color. Is this personal service or courtesy to a new customer? Take it or leave it. I suggest you leave it when it comes to Quirk. More

I was considering trading in my vehicle and buying either one or two used cars (a large investment on my behalf.) I was immediately approached by a salesman named Ali Tubaishat. From the very beginning it was the typical used car dealer experience I was expecting. He was very pushy, trying to get me to say I would commit to buying a car today. We looked at two cars, then he brought me inside and started to wheel and deal with the managers. After being there for a total of an hour and 1/2, Ali and his managers had me tentatively interested in a $21,000 financed deal for a used car with 60,000 miles. However, I stressed the whole time that I wanted to think about it and potentially look around since this was the very first hour I had even started looking at cars. When Ali started to check my credit he began a conversation about what would happen next (we would switch the plates, call my insurance) and I stopped him and said, "I'm not agreeing to buying this car yet." Ali immediately said "what the xxxx are we doing here then?" And I was totally taken off guard and said "Forget it, I don't want to buy a car from you if you are going to treat me like that" He stood up, ripped the paperwork up in my face and walked across the dealership to get my keys swearing at me in front of all of the other customers and coworkers. It was a humiliating and wildly inappropriate situation. When I left the general sales manager was still trying to sell me a car. I was flustered and wanted to just leave. About 15 minutes later the entire situation started to sink in and I called to complain about the incident to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. The person who answered the phone in the sales room pretended to listen to my concern and then said "oh ok, I'll fire Ali and you can come get two cars." Then hung up. It was clearly Ali again. The whole situation made me very uncomfortable and is completely inappropriate. No one forced me to go to Quirk Kia, I was genuinely interested in purchasing vehicles. They had no right to treat me the way I was treated. Beware for sure! More

A better ins co. specifically Patrick @ 508 202 7178. I have tried to call Patrick numerous times and he will not answer the phone. He can keep the 100.00 even though I could use the money as I just returned to work after beating cancer. He lied about the payments I would be making on my Ins. He calls me 2 days after taking out the 100.00 service charge and tells me a completely different Ins. rate. DO NOT DO ANY Ins. business with Quirk in Braintree or a better ins. co. !!!! More

Walking in I did not expect that I would leave that day with my Kia Optima. Sean Conway was very clear, upfront, and honest. He was looking out for my best interest, and what I could afford. I was greeted with such friendly people. Matt Sweeney was so helpful finalizing the deal. I have never met such an amazing team! I love my Optima and if you are looking for friendly and honest dealership this is your place. Buying a car is overwhelming and I felt no pressure. Everything was done in a timely manner and nothing was pushed down my throat. I can't say enough about my salesman Sean, he made sure I understood everything throughout the entire process. More
