Dishonest dealers deceive customers. I was cheated of a $1750 factory discount. I bought the 2020 RAV4 LE After negotiation, the total cost is 28,500 US dollars. Because I believe too much in Putnam Toyot $1750 factory discount. I bought the 2020 RAV4 LE After negotiation, the total cost is 28,500 US dollars. Jeff Hershman helped me find the perfect car!! He was kind enough to stay late at work, to accommodate my erratic hours to show me the cars I was interested in. He was through and knowledgeable and allow kind enough to stay late at work, to accommodate my erratic hours to show me the cars I was interested in. He was through and knowledgeable and allowed me to do a comprehensive test drive on each of the cars that I was deciding between. He really made me feel at ease and comfortable with my decision. It was a fantastic experience working with him, he really is outstanding! Mike Musto was the gentleman that helped me in the finance department and he too was a gem to work with. He was extremely pleasant, upbeat and extremely helpful (and comprehensive) when explaining all my warranty options and payment plans. Honestly, I would have never thought that buying a car would be such a pain-less and actually rather enjoyable process! Thank you both! More

VERY VERY VERY PRICY.... They are friendly and has huge VERY VERY VERY PRICY.... They are friendly and has huge selection but very stern on thier price and they do not do any price match. I do not thin VERY VERY VERY PRICY.... They are friendly and has huge selection but very stern on thier price and they do not do any price match. I do not think the Internet fleet maanger has any right to decide on the price. he is just a toy to explain features of the car. So unless you go there you would not know the price you will be offerd which will be very pricy when compared to other dealers. waste of time to go and buy a pricy car.. WILL SAVE $2000 FOR YOUR BUY IF YOU CROSS THE BRIDGE with TOLL $5 .. More
As a single woman I was very careful choosing a reputable place to do business. I had heard of Putnam in Burlingame for a long toime as my parents used to come from San Francisco to purchase vehicles from t place to do business. I had heard of Putnam in Burlingame for a long toime as my parents used to come from San Francisco to purchase vehicles from their General Motors store for years and years. I was unaware they had Toyota too until I read some favorable reviews on Yelp. I had already received quotes from the dealer in Sunnyvale and in San Francisco and two places in the East Bay on a Toyota Sienna. It turns out those places quoted me great prices on the vehicle but didn;t have a single 4x4 Sienna in stock (I was set on the Toyota Sienna Limited All Wheel Drive). Eric Brooks, Putnam's internet manager emailed me specs on the exact car. The price was within a couple hundred dollars of the lowest price I had already received (higher), but I didn't have to wait until December/January like one of the other dealers relayed was the earliest they could have the car. We knew we might need the 4x4 feature for Tahoe around Thanksgiving so we couldn't settle for the Honda Odyssey or the 2wd XLE that City Toyota offered us on the lot. Eric was friendly and easy going and really knew his stuff. I didn't get the usual pitch on underseals and such that I'm used to hearing. I was impressed by the great selection they had in their huge and neatly organized indoor display facility. (At another place they made me drive around from lot to lot in San Francisco looking for the car they said they had.) Needless to say everything went smoothly and the Sienna drives like a champ. Our previous minivan was a Chrysler Town and Country and after two transmissions I can say it's like night and day driving my new Sienna around. Another reason I chose Putnam is that they have a Subaru dealer across the street so if we get our Outback serviced we can drop of the Sienna at the same time. The facility was super clean and they even have a fancy espresso machine that grinds the beans. As for service after the sale, I've received two phone calls already from Eric and a letter from Kent Putnam himself. I had questions about the bluetooth feature on the phone and Eric walked me through the entire process. Turns out my Blackberry has some issues, but that's a story for AT&T and I'm switching over to an Iphone as soon as Verizon can get it in. Anyway, kudos to the folks at Putnam Toyota in Burlingame! Promise good prices on internet ad,and young salesman says he's sure he can get you a thousand or two off of that. You go in and the nice young salesman is busy, so they turn you over to the old hack w says he's sure he can get you a thousand or two off of that. I purchased a new 2009 Prius Touring from these folks. They had a great selection of inventory and a very clean facility compared to some other local dealerships I visited. Another dealer quoted a price They had a great selection of inventory and a very clean facility compared to some other local dealerships I visited. Another dealer quoted a price that was a few hundred less than Putnam's but it turned out they didn't have the same package. When I went to City Toyota they tacked on all kinds of extra charges to the price we had agreed to. Putnam was straightforward and played no "games". I just had my first 5,000 mile service and everything was quick and professional. I was impressed that they had all my information already written up on a work order when I arrived in the driveway. Their waiting area is clean, and offers Wi-Fi for my work laptop and a great free cappucino machine. My only gripe is that customer parking is limited, but still better than San Francisco! More
Recently quoted price for 2008 prius through online. I received a quote about 4.5K above MSRP. These numbers were also justified through incorrect market data about resell value of the cars and very fishy received a quote about 4.5K above MSRP. These numbers were also justified through incorrect market data about resell value of the cars and very fishy numbers on how much gas a customer saved through a purchase of a new prius. Lets just say if the person did save that amount of money on a prius, this person had to be driving a 6-7mpg car. More
We worked with Lenny, Gordon and Kino on purchasing a used car. They were all very friendly, not too pushy, and seemed to be upfront about costs and prices (relative to other car dealerships). We tried t used car. They were all very friendly, not too pushy, and seemed to be upfront about costs and prices (relative to other car dealerships). We tried to be very thorough while going over all the things one should check when purchasing a used car, but we overlooked the missing floormats! (Replacement mats cost about $100). I called in the next day after we purchased the car and I was told that the car came without floormats. It isn't what I expected from the people who said "Don't worry, we will take care of you". Floormats aren’t a big deal in the grand scheme of things but it does make our overall experience with Putnam Toyota just that little more unpleasant than it could have been. More
