The car has over 50,000 miles on it, with only a set of new tires and now front brakes... nothing more. It is one of the best running vehicles we have owned. The service folks at Ferndale Honda do an excellent job, every time, without disappointment. More
Reoccurring Battery Failure In December of 2013 my battery failed and needed to be jumped. I took the car to Ferndale Honda and I was told I needed a new battery even though the In December of 2013 my battery failed and needed to be jumped. I took the car to Ferndale Honda and I was told I needed a new battery even though the battery was only 3 years old. After purchasing a new battery, the car failed to start once again in January. The serviceman tested the new battery and said it was fine. He said the harsh winter was causing the battery to drain even though my car was parked in my garage. I had the same problem occur in February and was told the same thing when I returned the car to Ferndale Honda. This time the serviceman advised me not to let the car sit for several days. The new battery failed again in March and the serviceman showed me the results of the battery test which "proved" that the battery was good. Once again he blamed the weather. There are two other vehicles at my residence that never failed to start during this past winter season and one of those cars was never garaged. Well along comes the spring season. The weather has been in the 70's the last three days, but my car did not start yesterday! I am so frustrated with this service department. I know something else is causing my battery to fail. I do not think the service advisor took me seriously because I am a woman. My Accord has survived 12 years of Michigan winters, and I never had any issues with it other than routine maintenance. My car was purchased new at this dealership and all scheduled maintenance was performed there as well. My experience with this dealership has been great until now. Unfortunately, I will have to seek help elsewhere. More
