Everyone there treated him with respect even though he was only buying the $12,000 car. I was leery about dealing with the dealership for a first time buyer, as they commonly bulk run your credit with every finance company out there hoping for a hit. I explained my concerns to Casey and was happy to learn that's not how they operate. More

I had an excellent experience with the purchase of my Porsche Boxster S. The sales team were friendly, very helpful and responsive to my questions. Casey was very thorough in his follow-up so I always felt informed and knew where I was throughout the whole process. The showroom is stuffed full of amazing vehicles, so there is plenty of choice (and ideas for future purchases too!). Overall, just a great experience and thoroughly recommended. More

Dishonest description of the vehicle I have purchased an 07 M6 that was describe as being in "PRESTINE" condition. After receiving the car I noticed exterior damage to the rear bumper and I have purchased an 07 M6 that was describe as being in "PRESTINE" condition. After receiving the car I noticed exterior damage to the rear bumper and a few scratches on the hood. I was unaware of these items; even after reading the description and asking about the condition over the phone. There was also a signed inspection report from a Prime motorsport associate and the hauler that listed all ofthe damages that were never revealed to me prior to purchase. When I made mention to the owner that I was unsatisfied with the quality he stated that is to be expected base on the year of the car. Tough cookie basically. They did not provide a "PRESTINE" vehicle nor did they take proper steps to ensure complete buyer satisfaction. It is unfortunate. More
Great car buying experience!!! I had a great experience and smooth transaction process in the purchase of my vehicle. I actually was living overseas and began my car search a few weeks before my move back to the U.S. I was hoping to find the right vehicle at a great price and also something close to where I would be moving to. After finding little inventory nearby, I expanded my search and came across Prime Motorsport's site and their vast inventory. I was looking for a specific vehicle and they had just that. I called the dealership to confirm the car was still available. Fortunately, it still was. I spoke with and dealt primarily with Dave. I also had communicated a bit with Jim throughout the process. Their communication was great throughout the course of the transaction and made the entire purchase as smooth as possible, even while living outside of the country. After finalizing all finance paperwork and various email exchanges, we finally had everything taken care of. They had set up the shipping transportation for me and the car arrived the day I landed back in my home state. It was in great condition, just as I had hoped. I am extremely happy with the way Jim and Dave assisted with this purchase and extremely happy with the final product. The car runs great, looks great, and is exactly what I wanted. I will not hesitate to refer a friend to Prime Motorsport in the future if they are in the market for a great car, and I will also consider them for my next vehicle purchase when the time comes. More

Steve went out of his way multiple times to make the experience as friendly and convenient as possible. I was purchasing remotely and he was always available as I had questions, making buying process as stress free as possible. As it came time to make a decision, I was in town for work and Steve offered to pick me up from O'Hare on a Thursday morning and let me drive the car to my hotel to get a firsthand feel before moving forward with the purchase. Once I was satisfied with the vehicle, Steve went to work prepping the car for me to drive home that Sunday afternoon. Some of my requests required getting the car to people with specialized skills and the fact that Steve was able to get everything done within a three day window is nothing short of impressive. Finally, because my schedule wouldn't allow me to pick-up the car until Sunday, Steve again went out of his way to come into the office on his day off. When I arrived all the paperwork was ready and the car was prepped to go. It was an overall fantastic experience and I would definitely return to and recommend Prime Motorsport to friends. More

Terrible dealer- Car needed 3500 worth of work off the bat. If you are going to buy a car from this dealership, BRING IT TO A MECHANIC FIRST. I have had so many issues with my car since purchasing it on Dec. 1s If you are going to buy a car from this dealership, BRING IT TO A MECHANIC FIRST. I have had so many issues with my car since purchasing it on Dec. 1st, 2014 that I have spent more time in the shop and dealerships than I have enjoying it. The car had a host of issues from the moment I drove it off the lot and I was essentially told that it is "my responsibility" to look for these things when I called later to inform them of the issues. The car was in need of $3000 in repairs (2 new catalytic converters, a drive belt, new brakes, and new tires) from the second I drove away. This in and of itself wasn't the worst part- the worst part was the response I got immediately after reporting this issue to the salesman, David, who I purchased the car with. Upon reporting the "check engine" light came on, I was told it was probably "no big deal," and upon being transferred to Steve, I was told the problem was "someone must have put regular unleaded gas in the tank, and the car only takes premium gas." This is of course as absurd as it sounds- his solution was to run the car to empty, reset the check engine light, and then fill it with premium gasoline. He said the light "would probably come on again," but if I repeated the process all the "regular gas" would be drained and the light should stay off. This seemed like a convenient, time-consuming solution since my check was set to clear in a day or two. A quick diagnostic from auto zone revealed that the problem was two failed catalytic converters, an expensive repair. The brand dealer confirmed this, and said the advice from Steve was "something he's never heard of" and "I don't know why they would tell you that." When it was looked at by the mechanic, that's when they confirmed the problem with the converters and let me know about the status of the brakes/tires and the drive belt. The mechanic also stated that from the nature of what parts had been replaced, he could tell the car had been in an accident- something not reported on the car fax or told to me. To an extent, the buyer can be blamed for not noticing some small issues with the car (did I mention the car had no floor mats?) But when I buy a car from a DEALERSHIP, I assume they have done their due diligence in reporting on the condition of the car and making sure everything is in working order before I purchase it. In this case, this was not done (despite paying a "dealer fee"), and at worst the car was misrepresented or lied about to get it off the lot. To his credit, Jim was actually pleasant to deal with once I went over his sales teams head and talked to him. He apologized and he offered SOME compensation, but that was before I realized the extent of what this car needed and if I had known then what I know today I would have declined the pittance I was given and demanded they repair the car in full. The fact that he lets his sales team lie to a customer and is uninformed about what is going on in his own dealership (I had to take the car in for an open recall event after I purchased it, even though I was told by the owner, Jim, it was ready on a Friday night when in fact it was sent to the dealer Saturday morning while I was driving the 2 hours to the dealership- I had to wait 2 hours for them to get the car back from the dealer WITHOUT having done the repairs- they had over a week to get it ready). So Buyer Beware- you will probably get a great deal, but you will pay for it immediately thereafter. My review is not the only bad one, just check cars.com for buyers who have had similar issues. Obviously not as many people who are unsatisfied are seeking out recourse through reviews on face book- that or they are too busy in the shop getting their lemons repaired. Sorry for the lengthy review, but buyers deserve to know what they are getting into before dealing with Prime Motorsports. I'm sure you have satisfied customers out there, but I am certainly not one of them. Maybe if you're buying a $50,000 BMW or a Ferarri they are more inclined to treat you right, but buying what was most likely the cheapest car on the lot made me feel like the smallest ant scurrying around their dealership, beneath their notice and not worth fixing any problems.
