I came back the second time to check back on the cars again, this time some told told to walk to another buidling for used cars...i walk in and a person tells me to wait so he can get the dealer, i wait 15 min. some dealer guy comes and tells me to go to chris, i started asking him about the used cars but he was ignorant and said chris the whole time..... so i went back again to the main building and asked where is chris? he was with a customer so i waited, then the customer left and chris picks his phone and leaves somewhere....they call him over the interphone to say that im waiting. After 45 min he finally comes. i ask him about the nissan and saturn and guess what says, i have to cross the street and get to the cars overthere!!!! i was going to pay up front for a used car and he missed this opportunity he a selfish manager and cares less for an impatiant client who makes me wait 45 min!!!!!!! dont go to this dealership they leave u standing!!!!! some one should fire that guy!!! I have many years experience in business working with various dealerships and service departments for our company cars and trucks. Unfortunately, the majority of my experiences have not been the best. Ho various dealerships and service departments for our company cars and trucks. Unfortunately, the majority of my experiences have not been the best. However, I have to commend Kip Kilmon's Tysons Ford in general and Adam Gautier in particular for the very professional and friendly manner of treatment received. More
Tyson's Ford's Service Department is among the best. I have been working with them for over 10 years. They are thorough, professional and timely in all aspects of their operation. With other dealerships I have been working with them for over 10 years. They are thorough, professional and timely in all aspects of their operation. With other dealerships I've experienced the "big surprise" - "we found XYZ and it will take 2 weeks and $2K to fix". That's never happened at TF. I've referreed lots of folks to TF. All have had the same experience. More

Evaluate service as much as you evaluate features. I Evaluate service as much as you evaluate features. I have given the above ratings because it's about time that someone acknowleded that the auto in Evaluate service as much as you evaluate features. I have given the above ratings because it's about time that someone acknowleded that the auto industry is as much (if not more) about service than it is about "Clunker Mania". I am one of those auto-relics who buys cars with cash (vs. leasing) and drives them forever. That makes "service" a critical factor in the decision. I figured out a few years back that while Ford manufactures great products, there is no one in Detroit who is going to keep my current "bus" (a.k.a. F-150) rolling, worry free and "bullet-proof" on the Beltway. Only folks who can do that are working with my local dealer - Tyson's Ford. I have dealt directly with a number of TF's service representatives. All of them have been informed, engaged and focused. I met TF's Service Manager 3 years ago when I bought the "Beast" (F-150). I've since forgotten his name. I've never had to call him. When I haul the "Beast" in for regular maintenance, TF goes through the appropriate checklist (mileage-based), but also does a comprehensive look at everything (a.k.a. "Full Monty"). Suspicious at first, I've never seen TF use that "look" as an opportunity to sell me a new, enhanced drive train, crankshaft, A/C system or major orthopedic surgery. These guys know that their business is service. If you have a Ford product, call these guys for service. If you're thinking of buying a Ford product, call them. In either case, you'll experience a rare commodity these days - CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
I saw a 1989 Toyota RV on ebay listed by Kip Killmon's. There were about 25 pictures of the vehicle, inside, outside, under the hood, and the converter. All blemishes were visible. I called Chris and ask There were about 25 pictures of the vehicle, inside, outside, under the hood, and the converter. All blemishes were visible. I called Chris and asked about seeing it. I drove 300 miles, and it was just as represented. I knew it would need some work but was concerned about the engine and transmission. Both run great. I've had the work done, and it cost less than I anticipated. I am very pleased with the RV and Chris's representation of it. Naomi, Southern Pines, NC More
I purchased a vehicle from Chris Mensel at Tysons Ford via Ebay. Chris grossly misrepresented the condition of the vehicle. I found tires worn to threads, turn signals and fog lights missing, airbag light via Ebay. Chris grossly misrepresented the condition of the vehicle. I found tires worn to threads, turn signals and fog lights missing, airbag light on, seatbelt wont retract, coolant leaking from engine, exhaust leak, fraudulent state safety inspection sticker, body damage and rust, oil leaks, and suspension tie rod worn among other things. No response from Chris, his manager, or their president Kip. More
My wife and I purchased a used Ford Mustang last year from this group and I do not know how to accurately describe them (angry circus clowns maybe?). They were rude before the sale, during the sale and a from this group and I do not know how to accurately describe them (angry circus clowns maybe?). They were rude before the sale, during the sale and after the sale. They actually told us my wife stole/lost a second set of keys to the vehicle we were buying from them when they could not find the second set. Imagine this as a customer friendly gesture before you are off the parking lot. Then later after we brought the vehicle back to fix a few items I waited for 6-7 hours for the service department for what should have been 1 hour or less and then they told me at the end of the day it would not be ready at all - they made me go home after taking the entire day off from work when they said it would be ready by 2-3 PM that day. I would definitely stay away from this dealership at all costs unless you like to be insulted, blamed for their incompetence and lied to your face. More
I bought a 1998 SVT Contour on eBay. I have owned another of these, and drove it for 2 years, so I know a lot about the vehicle, just not this individual. The car looked great in the ad. All power another of these, and drove it for 2 years, so I know a lot about the vehicle, just not this individual. The car looked great in the ad. All power accesories working, exterior is stunning, in great mechanical shape, just passed VA inspection, etc. Yeah, right. Got the car shipped 900 miles from my home as the least expensive alternative. It was cheaper to buy a plane ticket to Denver and drive home than it was to have the car shipped to my door, and hey, road trips are awesome, right? Not so much. Went to pick the car up and discovered that the paint is SEVERELY oxidized. No clearcoat left on the sides and top at all. There is damage to one of the side skirts, and one of the jack-hole covers wasn't even painted - it was just black plastic. The piece in question was off the car in the pictures - I asked about it being missing, and was told that it was in the backseat of the car, in good shape, and just had to be put back on because they were replacing one of the retaining clips. I should have been more thorough, and asked to see pictures, but was just thinking about getting this beautiful, rare car. Other problems: A/C needed new condenser, condenser clutch, and pulley. Cost: $480 It was a realllllly fun 900 mile drive home on a 105 degree day with no A/C. Passenger side window switch doesn't work Sunroof motor is bad Power seat motor is bad Suspension is SHOT - needs over $1500 in repairs to make it SAFE All together I have spent over $2500 repairing a car that cost me $5000, and I still haven't repainted it. Now I realize that this is a 10 year old car. But at the same time, it shouldn't have been misrepresented in the ad. The exterior is certainly not "stunning" and if it passed a VA inspection with the suspension in the current condition, some bribe money changed hands. I talked to Chris Mensel, he was my only contact. He was extremely friendly before the sale. But after it ended, I received one email from him, and that was it. I have tried contacting him numerous times, and also different people at the dealership. I'm almost convinced that it's not even a dealership, that it's just a sham to gain people's trust. Bottom line - be wary. Don't buy it unless you've seen it with your own eyes. And then, I don't even know if they deserve the business. More
