Service department I bought a brand new 2013 Kia Optima, After noticing my paint peeling a year and a half old, I called to have fixed. First they told me to drive an hour down to them so they could take picture of it. I did. I called Kia itself and was told it was covered under warranty. WELL CAPITAL CITY KIA GAVE ME A RUNAROUND AND SAID THEY HAD TO SEND THE PICTURE TO SOMEONE AT KIA THEY WOULD GET BACK TO, Ok, so 3 weeks later i called to ask about status. They wouldn't return messages and it took a act of god to finally speak to manager, WELL THEN I WAS TOLD "YUP, THEY CAN DO THE WORK AFTER THEY RUN A CARFAX TO MAKE SURE I WASN'T IN ACCIDENT WITH IT" AGAIN ANOTHER 2 WEEKS GOES BY AND NO CALL FROM THEM, SO I CALL THE AND GET ANOTHER RUNAROUND AND TOLD IT WOULD BE ANOTHER 3 WEEKS FOR THEM TO GET IT IN. So ok, FINALLY GET IT IN AND THEY GIVE ME A LOANER CAR,IT WAS RAINING AND I WAS IN A HURRY TO GET TO WORK AN HOUR AWAY SO I DID NOT GO THREW IT WITH FINE TOOTH COMB. WELL IT WAS DAMAGED!! SOMEONE BEFORE ME HIT A CURB WITH IT AND I NEVER PAID ENOUGH ATTENTION WHEN I TOOK IT AND NOW CAPITAL CITY KIA IS HOLDING ME RESPONSIBLE FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE SHYSTERS!!!!!!! WHEN THEY CAME OUT TO LOOK AT CAR WHEN I RETURNED IT THEY IMMEDIATELY WENT RIGHT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE KNELT DOWN AND SAW A SCRAP ON THE BOTTOM CORNER AND ASKED ME WHAT IT WAS. THEN SAID OH AND THE RIM IS SCRAPED. YOU CAN TELL THAT IT WAS MORE THAN 3 DAYS OLD (THE LENGHTH OF TIME I HAD IT) . I AM IN SUCH DISBELIEF THEY ARE CHARGING MY INSURANCE FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!! More

I didn't expect them to go that high but to offer me 40% lower, just sleazy car tactics!!!! More

Had to have independent shop clean back seat. Rear doors open when I hit a bump (vt back roads), they said not under warranty. More

I bought my used car from this dealership over a month ago with about 600 miles on it. Two weeks later I was in another town with my daughter when the car just quit while being driven. It was towed to the ago with about 600 miles on it. Two weeks later I was in another town with my daughter when the car just quit while being driven. It was towed to the nearest dealer, Berlin City, and after two hours I was handed the keys and told that it was resolved and safe to drive. It stalled while being driven again about an hour later. They brought me a rental and towed it back and held onto it for repair . I picked up the car after they reassured me that it was gone over thoroughly and was safe to drive. It died while I was driving it again and had to be towed. While technicians worked on it in the parking lot, they were about to get it to run, but then it stopped running again ( this makes the fourth time I had seen this happen) Again, they held onto it for a couple of days while they used the Kia Tech Line service to do more diagnostics. I picked the car up a couple of days later, again with much reassurance that it was fine, went to dinner, started to drive home when it died again as i was actively driving it. This was the fourth time this happened while I was behind the wheel and the fifth time all together. It was a Saturday and Berlin City could not provide us a way home, so we called Capital City and had them tow it back to them. They have had it for a couple of weeks now and tell me that the problem is fixed, as the other dealership has told me. I have lost faith. They have offered to swap the car for another, but even after all of this trouble and inconvenience, they are trying to sell me a 2009 Nissan Cube for 21k. They are not particularly friendly. I get the sense that they want me out of their hair. I understand that things happen, but I have never once been made to feel like I wasn't the inconvenience. Horrible service in both dealerships. I would never want anyone to go through what I have been dealing with, especially because the car is dangerous. it is a barely used car, so I was told that VT lemon laws wont work for me, though I am doing further investigation.
