WOW! I am giving this “Service” rating as one who has been in the job of Service Manager. The only way this Preston Volkswagen has a 4 star rating is that I am giving this “Service” rating as one who has been in the job of Service Manager. The only way this Preston Volkswagen has a 4 star rating is that they coming the quality VW product sales with the extremely poor service department. My Passat was running poorly so I took it to the authorized dealership service dept. with the intent of having a professional experience with my car repairs. After $600 and over a week of waiting my car runs the same as it did before I took it in. The service manager Michael L, told me I needed to spend $5000 for additional repairs. I informed him that I would be willing to pay up to $2000 because I did’t trust his condescending attitude nd my common sense. They old me I would have o pay $575 in parts up front( I have never hears of this before) I paid it!! I picked up my car after a month of them having kept it due to the mechanic being out for personal issues, with the same problem of my car running poorly exactly the same as when they received it. The next day I took my car to a well known mechanic also in Boardman and after only a few hours they let me know that I needed a coils ($200 repair!!!) Now my car runs great no thanks to the rip-off service dept. at Preston VW. As a man of 64 years old and having had 110 employees and 11 manager under me and serving our country as a U.S. Army Ranger, I have this advice for Bobby Preston. The service manager Michael L. Is a product of the “Peter Principle” not fit for his position. You would be better served by promoting Brian Butts who has a much better temperament for the job. Sincerely, another one of your lost VW owners/customers. More
Working hard to restore VWs reputation I've not been a big fan of this dealership in the past, but I realize now it was an oversight on my part to miss that this is not under the Stadium ba I've not been a big fan of this dealership in the past, but I realize now it was an oversight on my part to miss that this is not under the Stadium banner anymore. We are on our third VW, and have had some hiccups with this. Mainly a part went out, three times, and the last of which was while we were two hours from home. The dealership down near Columbus fleeced us royally - blamed Preston for our woes - and sent us on our way. The problem is, they didn't fix the problem, and between Columbus and home we lost two quarts of oil. Needless to say we felt upset, and reached out to Preston. I can't begin to say how impressed we are with Jayson and the entire service staff at Preston. I had contacted VW of America, I had tried contacting the Columbus dealership and the only guy to help make this right was someone who wasn't involved in the first place! Jayson took the time to walk me back and show exactly what the issues were, what had and had not been done, and even went so far to take it on himself to try and get the other dealership involved to discuss what happened (spoiler - they didn't return calls). Jayson has been great. Also shout out to Barry, always great at getting us in and out quickly and answering anything we have. More

Unbelievable Chad had more faith in me than I did in myself. He was very caring and wanted the best for me. I can't say enough about him. Chad had more faith in me than I did in myself. He was very caring and wanted the best for me. I can't say enough about him. More

I had no intention and didn't even think I would qualify for a new vehicle. I walked out the same day with a brand new car at a payment close to what I was paying on my 4 year old vehicle. Thanks for everything. More

Recently, I was due for a 110,000 servicing and scheduled an appointment. I had planned to use a dealer issued discount coupon, but the service tech said that it had just expired and wouldn't honor it, so I down graded to a regular oil change. It told the tech that water was flooding into the rear passenger floor board and asked if the mechanic could take a look at the problem as the water accumulation was significant. The tech said that it would be a minimum charge of 2 hours just to take a look which seemed very excessive. After the oil was changed the tech offered to have the vehicle washed which caused more water to flood into the rear passenger floor board making the problem worse. After a couple of days I go a follow up call to rate my service experience as the agent said that the owner is very interested in maintaining high ratings. It has been a couple of weeks and no contact from the dealer. More

The service was going to take around three hours which I was planning to stay at the dealer. They offered me a shuttle home and I took advantage of this. They where short handed but the service manager Jay took me home himself. When my vehicle was finished I received a phone call from Jay and he offered me to pay over the phone and bring my car to me at home! Instead of sitting at the dealer for three hours on my day off I got to relax at home! I got my vehicle back washed and sweeped out. Jay made sure I understood the services that where done on my vehicle including the transmission service. I just want to say thank you for an amazing experience at Preston VW ! Keep up the good work! And the commercials don't lie when they say YOU COME FIRST!!!!! More
Never going back I'd like to start off with Bob Bezzarro, Estevan Suarez, and Christina Showers are all top notch employees and go the extra mile. And if u go to Prest I'd like to start off with Bob Bezzarro, Estevan Suarez, and Christina Showers are all top notch employees and go the extra mile. And if u go to Preston vw of Boardman see Bob or Estevan for sales. And Christina is financial manager and makes all the paper work fast and simple. But the service side of this dealership is just so bad that's why I'm giving it 1 star. I have 3 Volkswagens an 84 rabbit, 09 GTI and 11 Jetta tdi used. I got the 11 Jetta still under warranty and also got the extended 5yr/60K miles. A few months after I got it the driver seat started to make a squeaking noise every time I would xxxx gears or look over my shoulder to change lanes. I took it to the dealership to see what the issue was. They "fixed" the issue by raising the seat. Then that didn't even last. So after a while of just dealing with it a bolt that folds the seat to the seat frame came out. So now the seat rocks like a wobbly chair and squeaks all the time. Took it back to service, they tried to tell me I didn't have warranty and that it's just wear and tare. So then I showed them my warranty and they said they will see what they could do. 4 weeks later didn't hear anything. Went back in to talk said the rep would be in in a few days, it's now been 7 days still nothing. So normal wear and tare I don't think so. I've had 8 Volkswagens none of them had this problem. And a 25,000 car should not have this problem. And on top of all of this a new frame cost 550 not including the labor. And the new frame may or may not fix the problem. More
