He made me feel extremely comfortable leasing again. Not only did he explain everything to me, he came to my house and went over the vehicle with me. He has a customer for life. Dissapointed! Unfortunately not the expected experience buying from this dealership. We bought a used 2010 lexus GX460 from Todd van Gorp in July 2014. This was Unfortunately not the expected experience buying from this dealership. We bought a used 2010 lexus GX460 from Todd van Gorp in July 2014. This was our third time buying a Lexus SUV. The car was in very good condition, a few scratches here and there but overall it had been kept very well. The week we took ownership of the vehicle, the left rear bumper panel started to separate and stick out from the car. We called Todd and without missing a beat he told us it was broken when we bought it. I explained to him that we had seen this exact issue on a GX460 at a different dealership so had doublechecked on this vehicle and it couldn't be seen and was not pointed out even when we asked him while standing at the back of the car if there was anything else we ought to know about the car. He arranged for his Service Manager to inspect the vehicle and Todd was very good about backing us up that it had been a known issue. The Service Manager initially said the vehicle was sold as-is period. But after explaining the situation a bit more and considering this is a fairly expensive replacement ($500-1000?) that they had known about and not mentioned even when prompted he agreed it did fall in a gray area with some responsibility on their side. I felt it wasn't all on them, and was clear I did not expect the bumper to be replaced but would like help in finding a simple fix or repair that seemed possible after reviewing with the Service Manager. Perhaps a new retaining clip to hold the panel in place would get most of the job done. It was agreed Todd would followup with their Service Dept which is located offsite, and get back to me to see what would be possible. A week or so later he called and apologized that a key person had been on vacation and he would followup later. He never called back and my followup calls and e-mails since then have never been returned. I'm giving them 2.5 stars because if you shop carefully you can get a good car at a good price from this dealership as we did. But if you are expecting better than an average used car dealership transparency pre-sale, or service and followup post-sale, then in my experience you will be disappointed. Perhaps my expectations for Lexus dealerships are too high based on past experiences. I would not expect them to simply break off contact after agreeing to an action. Additionally, upon closer inspection of the panel it appears that at some point an attempt was made to do a cheap repair on one portion. I don't know if this would have been Lexus or the original owner. In summary - if you do your homework you can leave this dealership happy with a quality car, but if you miss anything don't expect support after you drive off the lot simply because they are a Lexus dealership even if they knew about it. Spectacular experience with Todd and Prestige Lexus I had been searching for a certified pre-owned (CPO) RX350 for about 2 weeks. I was set on buying a white or claret mica (deep red) car with tan leath I had been searching for a certified pre-owned (CPO) RX350 for about 2 weeks. I was set on buying a white or claret mica (deep red) car with tan leather. I came across a few dealers who had cars in my budget, but the cars weren't in the best shape or the Lexus dealer was frankly rude. I live in DC but started searching at every dealer site in the surrounding states. I came across a car at Prestige Lexus in NJ, but it was priced a little over my budget. I emailed with Todd Van Gorp, asked a lot of questions, and he sent me more pictures of the car since I asked for that also. Todd was always quick to respond to my emails. The car seemed to be in great condition. I called and spoke to Todd. I told him the car was out of my budget unless they moved on the price. I was literally getting ready to hang up the phone when Todd asked, "What do you want to pay?" I made an offer on the car. To my surprise, Todd called me back a few hours later and they accepted my offer. My wife and I took the bus from DC to Newark. At Newark, the dealership sent somebody to pick us up and bring us to the dealership (30 mins away), this was great of them. Todd greeted us and we went to see the RX350. I was a little skeptical b/c I thought maybe the car wasn't as good as in the pictures. But Todd's description and extra pictures were spot on. He couldn't have been more honest. The car was a 2011 and was absolutely spectacular! It was in AMAZING shape for a pre-owned car. I was surprised and very happy with the car's condition. We did the paperwork, gave them a check, and drove off in our new Lexus. The car already has low miles, plus new tires and brakes that were done before I bought the car. Add the CPO warranty, and I have absolutely no concerns at all buying this car. Todd was very helpful, pleasant, and fun to work. He made everything stress-free and easy. I would highly recommend Todd and this dealer. The service I received fits right in with their reputation. Thanks again! More

However, I will say my experience working with Todd from Prestige was absolutely delightful. He was incredibly responsive from the start of my purchase process. Invalidated my warranty i recently encountered a problem with a noise coming from behind the glove compartment of my Lexus IS 250. They looked and told me that this was prob i recently encountered a problem with a noise coming from behind the glove compartment of my Lexus IS 250. They looked and told me that this was probably due to improper installation of an air filter by my regular mechanic who has serviced all my lexus vehicles without any issues. They told my wife that the repair would not be covered by the vehicle warranty and wanted a $150 diagnostic charge and refused to even estimate the cost of any repair. There was nothing wrong with the filter or the replacement by my mechanic of the filter. I feel that they tried to take advantage of the situation because my wife is a woman who knows nothing about the mechanics of a car and they did not like the fact that I choose not to service my car with them. Even though this is the third lexus we leased from them and have never had any repair or maintenance issues we received no courtesy considerations More
