Where do I start? !?!?!?! I was on my way from Des Moines, Iowa to the Chicago airport with my daughter and her friend. They are taking the trip of their lifetime to !?!?!?! I was on my way from Des Moines, Iowa to the Chicago airport with my daughter and her friend. They are taking the trip of their lifetime to Bali, Indonesia. I drive a Ford Lightening. The App was incorrect about where I could charge. I had 21 miles left on my truck when I pulled into Rochelle with nowhere to charge!!!!! I saw the Prescott Brothers Ford Dealership and pulled in. They came to our rescue!!!!!!!!!!!! They not only let me charge my vehicle there (and keep it there during our trip), but they got the 3 of us to the airport so we wouldn't miss our flight. I can not thank them enough. When I am ready to purchase my next vehicle, I will be driving to Rochelle and doing this from the Prescott Brothers. I will tell this story to everyone I know. They literally saved the day! More

Hands down the best car buying experience I have ever been apart of. My Wife and I were looking at Explorers and found one up in Rochelle, which is a little over a hours drive. I contacted the dealer up been apart of. My Wife and I were looking at Explorers and found one up in Rochelle, which is a little over a hours drive. I contacted the dealer up there and discussed we lived 10 minutes from the Princeton store and that they had 2 in stock but we were wanting the one up there since it had a sunroof. We would just test drive one of them at the Princeton store so we didn't have to make the trip up there until we for sure knew its what we wanted. Without hesitation our salesman Jim Blomberg offered to drive the exact car we wanted to look at down and for us to test drive. My wife didn't get off until 4 that day and he said no problem he would be down a little after 4. We test drove the Explorer and we fell in love. an hour later after driving and looking at all the features we decided we couldn't live without it. I haven't met a salesman that offers to drive 2 hours roundtrip so late in the day just for a test drive and not a guarantee sell. The next day Jim called back with final prices on rebates (which shocked me) my trade-in value for my truck (Which shocked me even more) and what it would be out the door. We handled all the preliminary paper work over the phone so when we got there we just had to finalize everything and to sign some papers. The finance guy and sales manager were just as friendly as Jim and even got to rib on the manager for not harvesting any deer yet this year which made the experience even more enjoyable. After all the papers were signed and the car was now our own Jim went through all the features again and even setup my wife's phone to through the Ford Pass so she was ready to go! I may be partial since this has only been my second car buying experience but this one compared to my first is a night and day difference. If you're in the market for a new or used vehicle contact Jim Blomberg up in Rochelle. Class act guy and I will for sure be back again to give him my business in the fututre. More
Hoooo boy, this was quite literally one of the most asinine experiences I've had in my near 30 years living on this planet. Allow me to break down my unbelievable experience at Prescott. I had been asinine experiences I've had in my near 30 years living on this planet. Allow me to break down my unbelievable experience at Prescott. I had been looking for a new vehicle for a while now and I had finally found something I was interested in at Prescott. The car was a used 2014 Lincoln mkz hybrid with 90k miles. It was listed for roughly $13500 online. Rob was our "go to" sales guy as this was not the first vehicle we bought from prescott. I went in, we test drove the car, then we negotiated the price of the car. During negotiations, there was an offer for $2000 down and then a financing payment plan. <--THIS IS IMPORTANT. Well I was not interested in financing the vehicle as I was able to pay for it entirely with a check, assuming we could agree on a price. We eventually offered to pay $11000 via check plus the trade in. Rob then went into the back office, and returned with his manager, Chad. Chad spoke briefly with us but ultimately both Rob and Chad shook my hand and said "you drive a hard bargain, but you got a deal, $11000 and the trade in and the car is yours" We were literally about to write the check right there, but we just sort of sat there waiting. Well Rob then informs us that there is a server issue that won't allow them to access the system, and not to worry about that. Rob gave me the key, instructing me to return the following day to finish the paper work once the system was working. ~9am the next day he texts me to come in and finalize the deal. I let him know I'd be right there shortly. THEN I GET A PHONE CALL THAT ABSOLUTELY BLEW MY MIND. Rob- "Hey I just wanted to call and nip this in the butt. The number we agreed to, $11000, that was supposed to be with $2000 down so...." Me - "Wait you are saying that $11000 cash we agreed to, is somehow supposed to have $2000 down....so $11000 cash and $2000 cash....." Rob - " Yeah there was a little glitch and our figures were supposed to say $13000 for the car" Me - "So you shook my hand, said we have a deal, gave me the car to drive home and now you are going back on that? So you are telling me to bring the car back, we won't honor our deal" Rob- ".......yeaaaaahh we would need $13000 for the car" At this point I've heard enough. It's honestly disheartening to learn that this dealership does not honor a full blown negotiated deal that was approved by both the salesperson and the sales manager. The car is nice and all but this really is not about the car. It's about the principle of negotiating a deal with a repeat customer only to go back on it for a little bit extra profit. Prescott Ford, You lack honor. You lack integrity. You lack respect. THATS THE BOTTOM LINE I mean how do you sell cars as a career and then manage to be so incredibly thick headed that you accidentally negotiate the wrong price, and have it approved by your manager as well. And then go back on it. You are filthy, greedy, car dealers and you will not hesitate to go back on a deal if it means you might make a tiny little bit more money by doing so. And that's a real shame. Potential customers, Do not waste your time or energy at Prescott. They might act like they like you or care about you. They don't. It's all about getting as much out of you as they possibly can. I've attached a photo of the agreement that was approved by both Rob and his sales manager Chad. (I blacked out some personal info) Rob attempted to explain how it wasn't his fault, but the fault of the "server" for being down at time. Well played,Rob. Way to actually take responsibility for your own careless mistakes. 0/10 truly disappointed More
Vehicle was not properly inspected before the sale. Replacement parts/labor have cost me a lot of extra money, and the warranty covers $0. All the parts that needed to be replaced we're at my expense. Replacement parts/labor have cost me a lot of extra money, and the warranty covers $0.
