On November 10, 2012 my husband and I stop by this dealership to look at a used car we saw on their web site that would get good gas mileage. Upon driving into the lot my husband got out of car and a dealership to look at a used car we saw on their web site that would get good gas mileage. Upon driving into the lot my husband got out of car and a salesman, never got his name, but he appeared to be in his early 50’s and he was wearing a green shirt, came out to greet us. My husband told him that we were looking for a car that would get good gas mileage due to the fact that he thought gas was going to go back up. The salesman said man gas is going down and my husband said yes but I anticipated it going up due to the green energy policy of the president. The salesman in a very rude tone stated that he, meaning the president, was better than that crock that ran against him. At that time my husband told me to get back in car that we were not looking at anything. The salesman then said well he, meaning Romney, was nothing but a tax evader and a crook. I told the salesman that we all had a right to vote for whomever we wanted to just like we all had a right to shop where we wanted to, and he replied you are right and walked off. First of all I think his politically views had nothing to do with him selling cars and should never have been brought into the conversation, we were there to look at and possibly buy a used car not bash any politicians’. However due to his actions we would never buy anything from this dealership and will tell all our all friends not to buy from them. By the way we did buy a good used car that gets good gas mileage from another dealer and we did not have to listen to the salesman bash anyone. More
We bought a used car from this dealer and that was pretty uneventful. The reason I'm rating them low is because of the service department. IF YOU DON"T KNOW HOW MUCH SERVICES SHOULD TYPICALLY COST I ADV uneventful. The reason I'm rating them low is because of the service department. IF YOU DON"T KNOW HOW MUCH SERVICES SHOULD TYPICALLY COST I ADVISE YOU TO FIND ANOTHER SHOP TO TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO! They charged me 5 times more for a service I had them perform. The labor rate book says the job takes 0.5 hours and they charged me $275! They don't even break it down on the invoice how many hours they are charging for probably so they can put any number they come up with down to make it easier to slip by you. Even though the labor rate is higher for my diesel (they said $110/hour) that would indicate I owed around $55 dollars for the 0.5 hour labor service. When confronted about it, the service advisor said that's what I agreed to (I didn't ask about this one specific price out of about 5 other services I was having performed.) Just because you slip a charge by someone and they don't realize it doesn't make it right! They ended up giving me back $118 thanks to Danny and I must say if you have to do business with Charlie Henderson service department, I recommend dealing with Danny. I give him credit because I believe he did the best he could to help resolve the issue. Terry, the service advisor whom I originally dealt with, wouldn't even deal with me to try and make it right. I didn't even go in with a negative attitude at first as I told them that I believed they accidentally made a mistake for the high labor charge. I still believe they got me for an extra $100 or so for the services I had performed which is what prompted me to go ahead and post negative ratings for them online. IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU, YOU'LL STEER CLEAR OF THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT! More
