Absolutely horrible service. Came in with $2000 down and a 650 credit score and got screwed on a buy here/pay here loan. $10,000 for a 2009 Impala with 140,000 miles. And when I got my vehicle after I had my loaner for two weeks, the brakes were grinding first week I had it back. I had to put brakes and rotors on all four wheels. Also the car had a key fob that they said they would pay for, but when I took it to the programmer, they said I had to pay for it. I came here because of the commercials, and the reputation that I thought they withheld. Beware of this place, and their salesmen. Especially Trent and Alex. More

Had one of their sales guys contact me via facebook marketplace about a car I had listed. Said they would buy it for asking price. Took the 2020 Rav4 in Lunar Rock with 20500 miles on it to them. Still sold it to them for $1000 less than they offered, no biggy, I was ok with that sale. They wrote me a check for the $8043.15 difference between what I still owed on the vehicle and what the purchase price was. 1 month later I get an automated call from Toyota Financial stating my account was now 5 days behind. PREFERRED AUTO NEVER MAILED THE PAYOFF CHECK. Good thing I keep paperwork! My lawyers now have copies of the Bill of Sale, the Limited POA and Odometer Statement along with a copy of the check stub from the check they gave me for difference. Plus they have already turned around and sold the Rav4 I sold them! Laywers will be contacting both TFS and Preferred Auto. Do not sell or buy from these shady folks. More
Everything was great till the paperwork was signed. After that it all went down hill. They are very shady, and tell you what you want to hear. Had issues with the car less than a week after the purchase, and that it all went down hill. They are very shady, and tell you what you want to hear. Which came as a surprise, I've never heard of a dealership doing that before... which come to think of it they are really not a dealership, more less a dumpy road side car lot. More

they are all about today’s $$$. They would not negotiate on the trade in or the sale. Then put the trade in on one of their other lots with nearly a $4000 mark up and sent me a text trying to sell it to me. on the trade in or the sale. First they misrepresented option details on a vehicle listing that they had listed on their website. I agreed to finally purchase another vehicle from them, but the listing that they provided me on that vehicle also had details that were incorrectly listed ((is there a pattern of deceit here?). I guess I should have known. They then provided vehicle history information that attested to the fact that the vehicle had not been subjected to any rear end damage, and you guessed it, the car had been hit in the back causing a misalignment to the trunk lid, so now it leaks water during rains/car washes - so much for the Preferred Auto "free car washes for life". No one at Preferred would help me address these issues, including Jay Leonard, the owner. I guess that their success is made on the backs of senior citizens like me. Never again.... More
Sold me a car with all kinds of issues I bought my first car ever from them about two months ago. A 2012 Buick Verano. They tell you when you buy the car that they do this “8 point inspection” on the vehicle. So I was happy with the car and price and it was all I could really afford that was nicer so I bought it. The NEXT DAY, the car does this weird thing where it idles for a minute when I start it, and it shuts off. Then it started smelling like gasoline off and on. I take it in to the shop, they look at it and basically tell me that they can’t do anything about it because it’s not throwing any codes at them. So they said as soon as a check engine light comes on to bring it to them. So it finally does, and I take it in. (This is after they even kept my car for a few days and drove it around and “never had any issues”) they find it needs some small part replaced. So they replace it and my light was off. Then a few days later it shuts off on me again and the check engine light comes back on. So I take it back in and now they tell me I need a new catalytic converter. And they also tell me this “great warranty” I received doesn’t cover anything. So they know I’m upset and they get ahold of the manager of the state street location that sold me the car and all they’re willing to do is pay half of my $900 dollar bill it will cost to fix this problem. ONLY HALF. Complete and utter garbage service. I do not recommended whatsoever. I’m stuck with a lemon of a car now until it’s paid off. More
