Brought my 2016 Jeep Wrangler in for an oil change/tire rotation and engine service call appt at 8am. At approx 9:30am I was advised that I had an oil leak and it was going to take approx 4 hrs to service rotation and engine service call appt at 8am. At approx 9:30am I was advised that I had an oil leak and it was going to take approx 4 hrs to service my Jeep. No communication from the service department all day until 3pm when "I" asked the front desk technician for an update on my vehicle. He advised that my Jeep was ready and being put back together. At 4pm he came by me and asked me for my insurance information. When I asked why, he advised that my vehicle was going to have to be kept at the dealer for further diagnostic and I was going to get a loaner until the issue was resolved. I was further advised that I needed a cylinder cap and that I would not be responsible for this additional service cost. I lost a full work day as I was in the Jeep dealer at 8am and left approx 5pm in quite honestly, complete disbelief. The following morning I received a call from the service dept advising that my Jeep was ready to be picked up. I was advised that it was not a cylinder cap. The issue was a bad spark plug. Poor explanations/communication have left me feeling rather concerned about my service visit and the service department. More
