I have never had to warn people about a business, but today is that day. Nissan of Salem took $3,000 from me back in June to order a new vehicle. We picked the trim and options and paid the deposit. A couple weeks later, they said Nissan had approved the order, and in early August said that production had started, and in late August said that we had a binding contract (to assure us we still qualified for the tax incentives). This month, I contacted them for an update and discovered pretty much none of this appeared to be true. No order. No car in production. No records other than my deposit. They refunded the deposit -- an interest-free loan from me to them -- with no apology for wasting 6 months of my time with falsehoods, and I found an honest dealership instead (Alan Webb in Vancouver). Side note: the location is incorrect. They are now at 2908 Market St NE, Salem, OR 97301. More

They do nothing but lie. They don't honor their advertised prices. They tried to tack on $4500 after I test drove it. All the sales people blew me off and didn't return calls. Not helpful and rude, talking down to the customer. I’m not a genius but not stupid. Took my Rogue in because both headlights were fogging up with the left streaming with condensation. Explains the car had been parked in the garage for several weeks, it has not rained and the weather is warm. Asking what is going on. The service representative said I had cracked lens and needed to be replace. This is not a cheap at $650 for one. The next day I had a oil change schedule with my usual mechanic and asked them about the problem. He said there were no cracks. Gave me a print out on the problem that Nissan had with headlight seal failing related to the heat produced by the LED bulb. Took the paper back to the dealership and they were still blaming me. Stating I had damaged the headlight. Asked if had driven it though a car wash. And denying Nissan had a problem with the headlight. They were not willing compromise. More

Salem Nissan was a great experience today. Gave me a couple of ideas. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to lease a new 2021 or purchase the Rogue I have been leasing.
