Great Experience for my First Lease I found this dealerships through my company's True Car employee discount car buyer program. We went there intending to finance a used Chevy Equinox. I found this dealerships through my company's True Car employee discount car buyer program. We went there intending to finance a used Chevy Equinox. By the time we got there we were having second thoughts about the Chevy. The ratings were not that great. We ended up test driving and falling in love with the 2016 Hyundai Tucson. They really worked with us to make it affordable. It was not a painful experience. Plus they provide you with an awesome free breakfast! More

A truly rare experience Car Buying experience... When my 2007 Santa Fe finally went over the 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty, I decided to get a new vehicle and decided on the Car Buying experience... When my 2007 Santa Fe finally went over the 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty, I decided to get a new vehicle and decided on the 2016 Tucson. I wanted a Caribbean Blue top of the line Limited with the Ultimate package that included the panoramic roof. I decided to use TrueCar this time around (last 2 times was with CarsDirect) and they offered 3 dealerships near me (I'm near JFK airport) and they called me within minutes. I checked the dealerships websites to see which ones they had. Only one had that color the other two did not. The first to call me was Jack Schwartz, the general manager of Potamkin Hyundai. He explained that he does not have the AWD version I was seeking (which I knew), but does have a FWD one and was willing to drop x amount off of it. He told me to take my time thinking about it and to let him know. A few minutes later, I get a call from one of the other two dealerships near me, this one in LIC. She immediately said that she had the one I was looking for even though I knew they didn't. She set up an appt that afternoon, but I already did not like that she lied to me. So I call Jack back and said I'll be over that afternoon. First of all, the building is impressive, showroom on the first floor and service department on the second floor. Plenty of customer parking (considering that it is Manhattan) and within the showroom was a small service food counter with its own attendant. I was greeted by a nice lady at the front desk and in a few minutes met Jack. He went over with me the process and set up Carlos Camacho to oversee the test drive and transaction. Drive went well and I started the paperwork. Throughout the whole process, they were quite attentive to my questions and unlike my previous car buying experiences this one was amazing. Trade in was also handled very well. Went over to finance manager Cesar Salazar to finalize the payment with my bank. Usually here most dealerships try to push you into getting additional stuff that may or not be needed, but Cesar actually was quite front and sincere about what was actually needed or not. I was totally impressed. We close the deal just a few minutes till closing time and I get into the car. That's when the engine light goes on. I go back inside to find someone and most have left for the day. There was one worker that came to check and said that a new car should not do that and to come back the next day to have the service dept check it out. Service Experience... I returned the next day mid afternoon and both Carlos and Jack apologize for what happened and that they will take care of the issue. They provided a rental from Enterprise while they had the vehicle diagnosed. The next day and the service dept still couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. The third day I call and was told a part had to be replaced and that it was ready by the evening. When I go pick it up, Jack again apologized and offered a few service visits on the house for what had happened. But I never got a write-up from the service dept of what was done and what part was replaced for my records. Overall, the (buying) experience was excellent and I highly recommended getting a car from this dealership. Staff was professional and understands the needs of the customer. The service experience was better than most of the places I've been to. I only dropped down a notch for not providing a service receipt of what was done/replaced. More
